I think this is impossible because digital currencies are not known by too many people now and many of them still do not know the usefulness of digital currency and do not know how to get it.
Yes, many people do not even know about digital currencies such as bitcoin, ETH and so on. They have not even heard of it, banknotes are nationally recognized legal currency. It is a bit difficult for digital currency to replace legal currency, but I will still look forward to it.

It will take a very long and hard time for digital currency to replace paper money, because paper money has been exist for long time and has many benefits like easy to use, accepted by anywhere, trusted by all people, moreover, bitcoin has appeared recently so few people unwiling to use that kind of digital currency becasue they dont have trust on digital money.

You will need something physical i think , because if there is a massive power outage there will be a big problem . Also if it happens the coin or coins need to be 100% private , or it will be very easy to follow people and gather data on them.

The fiat will stay but they are going to be extinct. I could compare fiat as phones with keypad and crypto as touchscreen smartphones. Keypad phones still exist but smartphones are more used by majority so that will happen to fiat in the future.

Yes, I also agree that digital currency is hard to replace for the time being because they do not use electronic money because they do not have the Internet in some places and people who do not know it. But as time goes on, in the future, electronic money and virtual currency will surely replace banknotes slowly, but by that time, the electronic money is not necessarily Bitcoin or Ethereum.

No, Digital currency will never ever replace paper money. Every country has a paper money which stands each country as their mark of their countries identity. Paper money is more important in a simple and small transaction like buying in a small store.

I agree, very few people know bitcoin right now, only a small percentage of people around me know that before I told my friends, I did not see anything about Bitcoin, so I do not think digital money can replace cash currency.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink

Digital currency will never replace money. It may come close at some point in the future, but the paper money currency we use is still very effective and a reliable method to keep track of money. The digital age may seem to make it easier to use credit cards, but in the end they still fail us. The paper currency will never make mistakes that credit card companies make today with loss of information at the hands of hackers and government officials.

Yes, but at the moment I know it is only possible to convert a digital currency to real money, that's just bitcoin.
Many investors have replaced real money due to bitcoin and money replaced with digital currency.

I think digital money and banknotes can coexist. Digital money can be used as a mobile payment method. Paper currency is a medium used by the state to regulate the economy. In reality, digital currency does not have much use for paper money.

Possible that digital currency may replace the existing paper money. But,  definitely in some areas only that may accept and use.

There is a good possibility that cryptocurrencies would be able to replace the conventional currencies we are accustomed and are using today. However, there are certain factors that must be met in order  for this aspiration to become reality. Like stabilizing the value of cryptocurrencies, assuring the users safety and providing convenience to the users itself. Abd most importantly, cryptocurrencies should be able to survive in order for this to happen.

There's a potential for that to happen sometime in the future. The digital world keeps on expanding and if regulations stop us from converting to paper money, then we'll continue ro utilize the digital money and that is where the taking over will start from. Because currently, you can do a lot of things with digital currency

One day, it will be real yes.

World will have only one currency and it will be digital money.

No i dont agree with you. Government will never give their own currency overtake by crypto.
Crypto have many disadvantages to be claimed as currency so we need to solve that problem to make crypto better as currency.

As long as there is demand - there is a proposal, and with each year the demand increases. In fact, we are already trying to introduce a waiver of paper money, using internet banks, electronic payments and credit cards for payments in stores/shops/. But the states of some countries still struggle for the introduction of electronic money, not to mention the crypto currency, because many shops have the ability to take only cash, until now. Big BTC plus is its unique algorithm that generates a new one, so it can not be faked as paper. At least for this day no one understood how to do it.

Crypto currency will replace cash not soon, until the authorities come up with a way to introduce taxes, regulate the law, etc.

Don't think so because we can't deny the fact that not every citizen can adapt into modern technology. If we are going to use cryptocurrency as universal currency and removed fiat in cycle what will happen to poor people who can't afford even an old unit mobile phone?

It could happen. Many people use digital money because it is easier to use than paper money. Now various forms of digital has been circulating in the community with different forms such as credit cards and atm as a means of payment ditoko certain. Cool

I think it very difficult for digital currency to replace paper money even arguably impossible. Currently there are many people to use digital currency in the transaction but its role here just as cover the limitations of paper money so much easier and flexible to do and not replace the role of paper money. Although nowadays it is the era of technology and all online but can not be imposed on everyone. In my country, there is a social gap that is high so that there are areas that are really minimal with technology and there are areas that really follow the technology. For the minimal technology, this is the important role of paper money. So basically digital currency is not replacing but the most likely in my opinion is to cover the shortfall of paper money.
