Not bad Will you consider adding other algorithms for dualmining? Or will this always be a ethash only miner?

You forgot to just look at the github page: The miner has 1% devfee, it never change for new features but you can disable anytime. One comment about the miner: Works: Dual mining; it has negative profit sometimes, more power consumption and more GPU temperature. Using Decred as an example, 580's can dual mine ~1000Mh/s. For an average electricity cost (10c/kWh), this offsets ~210W power cost. Anything under 210W additional power would make it profitable (so basically always). I agree with the temperature difference, and one very helpful feature I found in Claymore's was the -ttdcr which adjusts DCR intensity to try and keep the card at a target temperature. Nice work though, keep it up!

What is diffirent ethash and eminer?
The miner has own ethash kernel also using optimized other known kernels. Default is own. You can choose with -kernel parameter. On Windows side; Multiworker mode; This is searching shares on multi-nonces (up to 8 workers) so it can be increase share luck. Most of pools are working based PPLNS mode. Also you can compare share counts with other miners, on my basic 48 hours run, 1% ~ 2% more share found. I compared with Claymore's miner. Of course people can correct this here easly. On Linux side; Hashrate looks like very competitive than other miners. Again, people can correct. (Tested on Ubuntu 16.04 with latest AMD driver) On NVIDIA side; I'm working for better performance. NVIDIA support currently experimental. The big issue is NVIDIA not support my kernel so the miner is using other kernels, will be try solve the problem. Many chipsets their drivers, OS, hardware so there are too many subjects, with your comments i can improve the miner.

Currently I'm working on the OC support. I got this SS from one of rig. Looks like displayed engine clock wrong on nvidia driver. I will check this. https://i.imgur.com/N3paoI3.png

I'm on rx470 with 159mhs and rx580 with 172mhs using this miner, i have not compare with claymore since i was mining monero using sgminergm. Regards. Does reported hashrate match pool registered hashrate?

Hello, I started to test Eminer on some of my rigs (dwarfpool). I can confirm that, reported hashrate is matched with dwarfpool's pool hashrate. Also i switched another rig to nanopool, i'll share results soon

I'm doing some test with the miner
MH/s is slightly lesser then claymore (61.1 with two RX580, 61.6 on claymore).
I have a problem after the test: the fan is always at setted speed also if I close the software and also if I reboot windows! How can I reset fan speed when not mining? Changes madded on WattMan do not work.
I'll mining for a few hours and then I will report again

As i said before, hashrate than share counts important, you should compare always share counts. Run eminer 48hrs and also Claymore compare these. Fan speed, the miner doesn't write anywhere the information, I had a same problem, probably you used many old drivers and OC programs before, I can advise, install clean win10 with anniversary update, install AMD blockchain driver and patch with atikmdagpatch, you will be fine.

Will you add also support for CUDA? I've haven't test your miner yet, but from my view NVIDIA OpenCL is not that good compared to CUDA. I'm now running all my NVIDIA with CUDA 9 drivers, there is no difference in hashrate from CUDA 8 with Ethminer neither with CCminer.

Linux yes, what other minerS? The comparison can be done only with claymore As I can see the hashrate is improved 0.5% which is very good considering there was no other alternative to claymore's miner. Keep up the good work, competition is good for all of us simple miners Now I must think of rewriting my claymore monitor script to suit your API, or ...if you provide any ETA for multirig monitoring feature would simplify my work. Thanks. EDIT: No I don't want to call watchdog on incorrect share, probably only on stuck thread, but the point is watchdog is probably the most important feature for 24/7 work without or with less human interference.

Test result: the shares are similar to claymore with RX580. I like the monitor. Is there a hot key to change intensity when mining software runs for fine tunning? The test was run with intensity to 28 (have you any suggest for this value?) And just another question: can you explain better all the options? For example: the log, default is 3 but what is the range? 1-3, 1-5, 1-10

So far so good. I love it! :3 Your OpenCL kernel is AWESOME! I've same hashrate as with CUDA (+/- 1%) currently on 1 rig testing. But the biggest advantge for me is that voltages are stable, that was what I hate on NVIDIA cards... Now I can try undervolt more. Web stats are also very nice, that's why I also like XMR-STAK. I will report in few days how it's working. Thanks for your work.

Maybe a bug: sometimes the software reverses video cards, I noticed this because I did some updates today and when I restart the system the fan speed settings are applied to the wrong cards... I solved applying to all the cards the same fan speed for now.
This is the output of the command "eminer -L" when the cards are reversed (note "Device ID for mining" and "PCI bus id")

A small remark. I am currently mining etc, not eth. Noticed that devfee switches to Eth and generates new DAG each time it switches to devfee, please consider using etc devfee also.

Maybe a bug: sometimes the software reverses video cards, I noticed this because I did some updates today and when I restart the system the fan speed settings are applied to the wrong cards... I solved applying to all the cards the same fan speed for now.
This is the output of the command "eminer -L" when the cards are reversed (note "Device ID for mining" and "PCI bus id")

do you have manual or readme ho to use it??
There is no manual, only the comand "eminer -h" for help If you use ethermine you can use this command (for me intensity 30 is the best value and I have the fan set at 75%) eminer.exe -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -U your_address -P x -intensity 30,30 -fan-percent 75,75

Ok, so I'm currently using Claymore's with ethermine.org My Claymore config file doesn't have a stratum password. So will eminer work without one? If not, how do I create a stratum account and get a password?

With the devfee on, we're currently getting 3Mh/s more with Eminer than with Claymore. For anyone else using Claymore on linux, the bare minimum equivalent for Eminer is: ./eminer -S us1.ethermine.org:4444 -U wallet_address -P x This can be placed in a shell script to execute on system boot. Here is the output from the Eminer help file: christianCoder$ ./eminer -h

@bitcoyim can you share your bios settings for your Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580? I have the same GPU and only getting about 31.24 Mh/s with Eminer. Your memory-clock and core-clocks are in the image but what voltage steps are you using for core and memory? Or please feel free to PM if your OK with sharing the bios itself Thanks mate!

But with devfee, still ask for donation?
I guess you can use eminer without dev fee too . BTW i'll test my rig tonight and share results here .

The miner has 1% devfee, it never change for new features like dualmining or something else but you can disable anytime.
Hi Eminer, I didn't notice so I figure I ask. Does this show when it's mining for the 1% dev fee? This would be useful as it gives us transparency. If it does show, how can I display, b/c haven't noticed any indication from the terminal

How can we verify this is only taking out a 1% dev fee? And what is the frequency of the 1% cut vs Claymore?
Even with the slightly higher hashrates, in comparison to Claymore, looks like Eminer profitability is much lower per my Ethermine.org Payout/Rounds dashboard. Also looks like Ether balance accumulates slower on this vs Claymore.
Has anyone else here noticed this? Taking "1%" every 10 minutes is very different from taking 1% every hour.
Please verify and respond.

I'm just talking about windows eminer I notice that some times eminer write devfee on the log but I did not understand how often this is done (I seem to remember after a few hours that I had started it). You can search on your eminer console with CTRL+F. Also for the profitability there is a problem: every day there are increase of difficulty! https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/ethereum-difficulty-chartFor me anyway the share is much more constant and with Claymore my average hashrate over the last 24 hours on ethermine was 57.4 and now with eminer is 59.2MH/s (2 x RX580)... your average is less than before?

Thanks for the reply and for checking. Getting 5 to 6 MH/s more than Claymore can also do core underclocks and memory overclocks more agressively on Eminer. However, not as stable as Claymore on Linux. Longest run w/o crashing was maybe 7 to 10 hours. Redacting the stability issue. Looks like it'll be running for 24hrs non-stop in a few hours -- all with aggressive core underclocks and undervolts. However, IMO, The Eminer dev fee is still a black box. Also want to encourage the E-miner guy (an AMD Employee perhaps) to keep innovating. I know a lot of work went into this and you have my support. But transparency is crucial.

So I tried eminer to Pegascoin mining. eminer -S eu.coin-miners.info:2222 -U wallet -P miner name 4xRX 480 8gb 1077/2200 core/mem no moded bios. Nice graphic design and useful information during mining. I like Eminer and I will use it for ethash mining. Here's the screen:

it worked quite well for my amd cards but when it comes to nvidia cards it gets some invalid command error after a few min of mining. also the speed is slightly less than claymore. 30.3 vs 31
not that really to compare the shares between eminer vs claymores but the effective hash rate from the pool seems to show higher rates for eminer. so a thumbs up for this.

Can you tell us what update will contain?
I am interested in this miner but do it little better for NVIDIA cards, specially for dual mining

i think the AMD card code is pretty good after running for a few days. The displayed hashrate is slightly lower than claymore. But the average 24hr rate reported by the pools seems to be slightly more. When using claymore most of the time the average rate is only around 92-95% of the reported rate. When using eminer the average rate are mostly around 95-98% of the reported rate, and occasionally go over the reported rate for a while.
I think the N card code might need some improvement. At least it is not working properly for me.

Here the some subjects; - Cloud monitor feature; miner can view and monitor all rigs on a website with statistics and alarms feature and this will be free service forever, if miner pay devfee. - Reported bugs fixed - Linux hashrate improved - DAG intensity feature added - Devfee coins selectable now. - Intensity improved.

I try your miner, great work !
Hashrate very close to Claymore.
Mining DBIX, can not connect to server clona.ru:5081, I set ............ -S stratum+tcp://clona.ru:5081 and received error
stratum=stratum+tcp://clona.ru:5081 CRIT [09-16|23:09:29] Stratum server critical error error="map[message:Method not found code:-3]"
without prefix "stratum+tcp://" in -S miner connect to pool but with "etherproxy://....." and do not show woker name on this pool, only show "0"

I downloaded this to give it a try on a new build I was doing. I only ran it around 12 hours but I also ran Claymore's latest version just before and after to compare results.
I only tested with a single RX580 8 GB card as I am building a new rig and waiting on the other cards to arrive but here are my initial results:
System:
MSI Z170A mobo with Intel G4400 processor and 4 GB of RAM. Windows 10 64-bit with the AMD Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23 driver installed. VBIOS modified by copying 1500 straps to 2000+. Core clock at 1100, Mem clock at 2100, both core and memory vddc set to 925.
All GPU settings were the same with both mining programs as I simply shut one off and started the other. Claymore I ran at -dcri of 8 and eminer I ran at intensity of 28 (as recommended). I did try intensity of 32 for a few minutes but the local hashrate did not seem to change at all.
Claymore local displayed hashrate of 30.5 Mhash/sec and pool (ethermine) current hashrate of 29.8 Mhash/sec and average hashrate of 29.4 Mhash/sec. (~6 hours prior) Eminer local displayed hashrate of 28.9 Mhash/sec and pool (ethermine) current hashrate of 25.8 Mhash/sec and average hashrate of 24.6 Mhash/sec. (12 hour run) Claymore local displayed hashrate of 30.5 Mhash/sec and pool (ethermine) current hashrate of 29.5 Mhash/sec and average hashrate of 29.1 Mhash/sec. (~4 hours after)
So I want to encourage you to keep developing this as I did like the web interface displaying the statistics and I did not have any issues with hangs, lockups, or crashing while running it (albeit I only ran for 12 hours). I do think competition is good and I think you have put in a lot of effort on this, however hash-rate is king as we are doing this for profits. If you can figure out a way to get the extra few hashes out of your software I believe you will have a true competitor to Claymores.

Can you please run 48hrs each miner and compare the results? On my basic pool tests I got ~1% more shares. You can calculate like this; total valid shares / total spend time

You can calculate like this; total valid shares / total spend time I will try again when I get the rest of my cards, I am burning the rig in now so to speak so just want to leave it run to make sure there are no other issues. I will have 6 GPUs in that same rig to test with then so should help to minimize any discrepancies that may arise with just one GPU. But in the meantime I can report that my shares on the pool were down too, I just forgot to post that information earlier. With Claymore and the above hashrate (single GPU) I get around 40 shares an hour on the Ethermine pool and when running your miner I was only getting around 32 shares/hour on the same pool. So both the submitted share count and hashrate were noticeably lower.

I'm testing and it works for now... Just a problem: on ethermine the worker was changed from "default" (no specify on command line) to "wyiql" On the changed log there is "Intensity improved"... We need to retest for find best "-intensity" value or we can leave the old value (for my 28 on RX 580)?

? Miner has local monitoring, you can view the local dashboard from http://localhost:8550What is your OS? If you using Linux, ignore the message, eminer has alternative solution on Linux for AMD devices.

Thanks for your quick feedback Yes, im using ubuntu and indeed all ADL data show up on both local dashboard and cloud ... but what i meant is to have same dashboard as in cloud but local, so one can view all rigs in one dashboard ... like if you add some param to main mining rig where it handles all outputs from all rig and shows it into single dashboard .... maybe )

If use same cloudkey , you can see all rigs at cloud.eminer.net . So why do you need local dashboard ?

its just an option .... a suggestion .... and i know if i use same key i would see all rigs on same dashboard ... i have that running already ... but since the code is already made ... porting to local version might be doable also ... thats all

i did not use the -N to specify the worker name so the dashboard has multiple instance of the random 5 char string showing up.

Why is there still no transparency on when the Dev Fee is being mined?
Claymore does this and you should too.

It's already logging, you can see devfee start and stop messages on console, I think, its clearly transparency

You... left... the OCL in the binary... and it's not even packed! That... was kind of a let down.
OCL build on runtime like good idea for new chipsets so the miner can support all OCL based devices.

OCL build on runtime like good idea for new chipsets so the miner can support all OCL based devices. Well... the issue being, anyone with half a clue can get your kernel... putting it in the binary as AMD IL, for example, would allow support for pretty much everything that uses the Catalyst compiler, I believe. The only outlier would be Vega, which requires the ROCm stack - which in turn uses the LLVM/Clang toolchain. For that exception, you could simply include a Vega kernel as ISA in the miner. You also didn't really protect the miner at all - not only was it not packed, or any anti-debugging traps laid, but you didn't even check for the common environment vars used for debugging or kernel dumping... Why should he do it now when he didn't get close to top speeds like yours or Claymore's? When he will - he will certainly did )) But now all protection methods will result in anti-virus software misdetection ...

By the way ... did you see current speed increase with xmr mining on Vega running 2 threads with blockchain drivers and HBCC enabled? Vega can handle 2kh/s now. How do you think can it be applied to eth mining? 2 dag files per gpu with async access? Vega can handle it I think ...

Ain't allowed to comment on that. Well, I found the miner capable to hash with 2 DAGs at 1 GPU. It is old good Genoil miner. With single DAG it shows 40-41mhs, with 2 DAGs it shows 42-42.5 mhs. This is all less then Claymore's 44.2mhs, maybe due to ineffective single-thread of Genoil's. Let it run for a while to see pool results.

So average 4 watts higher consumption. Reported hashrate by miner is about 1-2mhs lower. God damn that level 5 log lol. The blue color doesnt work for me But to serious things ill see pool side whats up soon. I doubt claymore is better. And im getting a couple VEGAs 56 to play with soon, very curious to delve into them. edit: i didnt see intensity in the help file, maybe you forgot ? sometimes i cant see shit good though so might be me. I am reporting a LOT of crashing on Linux. Ubuntu 16.4 I have tried many different settings but the AMD cards crash every 30 mins or so. I wish I had a better understanding of the -kernel switch that no one will explain. 3 of the cards are 390's and I am thinking maybe they don't work well on -kernel 3. Also the fan speed switch does not seem to change the fan speeds on Linux.
So maybe someone can answer these 2 questions -
1) Explain differences between -k 1,2,3 2)is the -kernel switch able to use commas to set different kernels for different cards? -kernel 2,2,3,3,3 ANSWERED BY ME. YES IT WORKS LIKE EXAMPLE
Thanks for any help

1- Each kernel has different thread count 2- Yes you should set best kernel for your device like your parameter. I also advice intensity parameter, you should benchmark your device with best intensity like this; eminer -B <deviceid> -intensity <number> also you can choose kernel with this parameters. If your device crashing probably intensity high for your device.

request to add feature to notify when significant hash rate drop for a worker(ideally configurable). ie. a worker usually do 180mh/s, if drops by more than X%(configurable) it sends a notification. do not need to notify immediately(configurable). but if below the threshold for more than Y(configurable) minutes then notify.

I check, it works on linux on one overclocked GTX1060 card.
INFO [09-25|11:53:44] GPU device information device=0 hashrate="18.108 Mh/s" temperature="63.00 C" fan=49.00% I have 18.1Mh instead 19.8
1- how use temperature control? and decrease intensity if t>80 C ?
2-how to manage intensity?
3- Can i control fee if i want to use devfee on 10% on one card, and two card can work without devfee? (switching DAG,pool and etc take real time!)
4- please add more samples to header of topic eminer.exe -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444,eu1.ethermine.org:14444 -U YOUR_WALLETID_HERE.rig3 -P x -N rig3 --cloud-key GENERATE_AT_CLOUD.EMINER.NET

I found an issue with cloud service if i don't use a key or didn't have interest in using it some parameters do not work, like for example -M for device selection.
Could you please send full command line, I can test it. Here setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
eminer.exe -S stratum+tcp://europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20535 -U halker.amd -P x -M 0,2,3

slightly better pool side reported hash rate and slightly higher power consumption.
very stable, and nice UI for cloud service.
intensity does not seem to make any difference.
overall 9/10.

Sorry for the late answer. Yes intensity doesn't make any difference as of power usage, but it does reduce hashrate.

any update soon?
I'm working for new update, I will announce soon. You're doing better with keeping your IP hard(er) to get at - nice work. Might want to use C instead of Go so you can put in some anti-debugging traps, too. Also... in your "Optimized 4 threads" OpenCL... I know this won't make a huge difference, but it still makes me sad: bool update_share = thread_id == ((a >> 3) % THREADS);
Were that interpreted how you wrote it (verbatim), you would be eating... 4 clocks for the shift, and an untold number of clocks for the modulo, as AMD GCN doesn't even have modulo implemented - it's emulated. In reality, it's going to optimize that to an AND, making it look more like this: bool update_share = thread_id == ((a >> 3) & (THREADS - 1))
Okay, that's 8 clocks - two full-rate instructions. Unless you use a local worksize that's not a power of two, and in that case, god help you. But we can do better. First, for AMD - you're using LDS. Any worksize above wavefront size (64 work-items) is going to make those barriers take a LOT longer. Reason being, an AMD GCN CU (Compute Unit) only executes wavefronts. Larger work groupings are cut into wavefront-sized pieces and executed that way. If you use an LDS barrier with a worksize of 64 (wavefront size) - big deal, the whole wavefront is handled by that CU, and as such, the barriers can actually be omitted! And they are, by the AMD OCL compiler, in that case. When you make your group larger - suddenly you need to sync with other execution units: this is going to make you very sad. So - at least for AMD - I would keep it to 64 work-items/local group. Now - we know the value of THREADS - the kernel says it's a 4-way - so... get you one of these... #pragma OPENCL EXTENSION cl_amd_media_ops2 : enable
... and suddenly you have access to the amd_bfe builtin, which is purpose-built for what you wanna do! It gives you direct access to the v_alignbit_b32 instruction. And this gives us: bool update_share = thread_id == amd_bfe(a, 3U, 2U);
Shaving at LEAST four ticks off the best the compiler would likely come up with (and I am being generous.) As it's looped, this magnifies the effect of the optimization, although it's still not much. Now you have the operation done in a single full-rate instruction, though - which IS an improvement. WOW! tons of job like for me. @Wolf thanks your mention. I'll keep up these and will be share results here.

it does seem that sometimes the miner would just stop working solutions but would not crash. the error handling and watchdog feature need to be improved. wonder when will there be a new version coming out?

Last days I notice that the software some times not report to the mining pool the stale share that I can view on the console The problem that I had was low shares and for testing I started claymore miner and I notice that I found a lot of stale shares: it's okay ... the pool have some problems! Now the problem is away but can you correct this problem?

I forgot: with claymore miner I saw all stale shares on the mining pool (claymore console stale shares=mining pool stale shares) with eminer I saw few stale shares on the pool although I saw all on the console (eminer console stale shares>mining pool stale shares) Just to clarify... Great job and great miner anyway!!!

E-Miner, How often does the devfee instance run and what coin does it mine? I am looking to use Eminer rather than Claymore on new Ethash forks and DAG switching matters.

who compare with claymore?
On AMD Rx580 I have done some compare with claymore and for me on mono mining the winner is eminer: the reported share on the pool is very close to share reported from eminer. I have two RX580 (GPU 1150MHz - memory 2175MHz), with eminer i go to 61.2Mh/s while with claymore I have 61.4Mh/s On the pool the effective hashrate with eminer is from 57.8 to 59.8Mh/s (rarely also 60.1Mh/s!!!!) while with claymore is from 57 to only 58Mh/s ( ) I do not know why this happens but for now I prefer to use eminer! Claymore has its merits in other peculiarities see the possibility of configuring Mhz and mV

The charts don't seem to work for me, it is just a blank space there. Also it doesn't read the temp and fan speed correctly probably due to changes in the 17.12.1 driver

does this miner solve this issue with claymore ?
so sick of this fucking
shit
LBC - Total Speed: 115.426 Mh/s, Total Shares: 4286, Rejected: 24 LBC: GPU0 off, GPU1 64.873 Mh/s, GPU2 50.553 Mh/s, GPU3 off, GPU4 off, GPU5 off, GPU6 off Code: Socket was closed remotely (by pool) ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec... LBC: 01/17/18-04:36:08 - New job from lbry.suprnova.cc:6256 ETH: Stratum - connecting to 'eu1.ethpool.org' <91
happens every day and kills the miner or then i get cards that start hashing less or the machine dies entirely
claymore needs to fix this shit. Its not even the pool since it happens on multiple pools
