It was acceptable for MNE for two reasons :
 1) MNE was not an ICO but an airdrop.
 2) MNE is a lot more simple smart contract compared to ARTE.

ARTE is an ICO and it' smart contract is a lot more complex than MNE : if the dev wants the success of ARTE, it must communicate and answer the questions.

After the ICO i'm sure they've got some funds to get one or both coins on an exchange. They won't burn all the mne that gets invested, they'll probably convert some to eth or btc to pay for a new listing, that'll revive mne's price back to the low 10's

I agree that dev needs to do a better job regarding community management. Also for the ICO they should take more time to do it properly.. still I am planning to invest most of my MNEs into ARTE... now come on dev, get somebody on the team to do the community management for you.

thats looking like the way to go.  Hopefully if enough people convert MNE to ARTE the supply will dwindle and make the MNE price rise.

Why shocking? I will burn 2.000 MNE alone to get ARTE and know couple of people with same ammount and even more that believe in this project.

Dev never communicated very well but he always delivered so keep cool.

He never communicated because it wasn't necessary. An ICO is meant to increase FOMO with the community and to reward early investors. If no one knows about it except for the original MNE investors, this project won't reach its full potential. I'd be a lot more happy if they postponed the ICO until the end of september, but either way I'll be investing

I don't agree with this at all, the best way to reward early investors is to make a great project that will grow over time.  I have no interest in a FOMO rally at the start of a project, look at what happened to BAT, it tripled in a weekend and then plummeted to where it's at now and did no one any good.  Now let's look it Bitconnect and Veritaseum, completely under the radar at the beginning but has a great concept, vision and platform that continued to grow in value over a few months.  I think Artemine is best to let the loyal following it has now get in on the ground floor and we can watch others catch on to the project in the coming 6 months.  Just be patient and hold!!

Whats everyone's take on how to split your MNE vs Arte?  Depending on how this shakes out can mean a huge difference between the two.

If no one goes for artemine and you go in heavy in that your in at the ground level with what seems like is going to be a very low circulating supply.  If artemine does big things your going to the moon and back 50 times in the long run getting paid daily with your genesis address.

If everyone dumps MNE for arte and tons of MNE get burned then MNE goes to the moon with news if they keep up with that project.

I assume the dev is making a play here of some sort.  Is he A) going to grow minereum and wants to shed some of the token holders off with the Artemine scheme or B) he knows minereum is falling off and he is a good human and trying to help us out by getting us into the new technology at discount prices?

C) rocket ship as it closes the gap on Ethereum is not happening.

I hold 143 mne right now, it's not much but it's something. I bought it at an average price of about 3$, so I need to make at least 430$ to break even. I think mne could rise back up to 10$ IF the ICO goes well and IF minereum gets advertised like the great coin it is, maybe through bounty campaigns, paid facebook ads, whatever. That's why I'm investing 100 MNE into ART, giving me a genesis address of 10.000 ART
