I think some governments think that Bitcoin will badly affect their economy and fiat currencies, and have many doubts about it as it is a decentralized digital currency not controlled by them, so they try to ban it. But their ideas are wrong. Bitcoin is already helping so many unemployed people around the world (and especially in the poor countries) to get an extra income.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Bitcoin is not bad. It's just that some people use it to exploit other people. Governments don't really want to ban bitcoin but they want to have control on how people invest in it to protect them from scammers. I read somewhere that there's a way to trace the ip address used using the transaction history but its not spyware.

They ban bitcoin because bitcoin may be used as payment for illicit activities. Since it is decentralized, the government has no hold of what was happening in the blockchain and the government can't identify who's making a transaction since the transaction is done anonymously using only codes.

Lol. You really think so? You know at least one valid case that using bitcoin was engaged in illegal activity. Petty drug dealers, but they sell for Fiat too. The attacks are financed by Fiat. How can I use bitcoins if less than 1% of the population know about it. Government banning bitcoins are afraid of losing control over the inhabitants. Therefore, all totalitarian States prohibit bitcoin.

Governments can not control bitcoins and forbid it to avoid fraudulent actions, but in this way they deprive many people of their earnings. I think they will soon realize that bitcoin will be of much use.

bitcoin can cause inflation if that country legalizes them because fiat currency will be a bit wobbly and banks from their country get a decrease in income because people will choose to invest with digital money

the government has its own regulation in every country so there is a ban such as China and accept country like japan. on the basis of government dislikes currency that can not be controlled like cryptocurrency. I think it can't although every transaction that the user does is record in the blockchain along with the IP address but we don't know the original identity of the bitcoin user.

They block because they are afraid. They are afraid of financial frauds, terrorism (the basis of which is secrecy and anonymity), the flow of money flowing abroad and much more, what can hide behind bitcoin.

Some goverments do ban Bitcoin because of it's past history used for buying illegal needs such as Drugs,Guns and sex slaves etc.( because of Bitcoin's anonimity). They just kept on looking at the dark side of BTC not the greater side of bitcoin. But, bitcoin is really legal to some countries they are just regulating it.

First point is its accountability, second blockchain being shared public ledger, entire decentralized distributed peer to peer bitcoin network.

Now keeping above two points in mind where is the scope of putting black money , its system is so transparent that politicians will not like it unless there is some hiding space in it for black money .  It's real democracy in financial world which the whole world at a time can not agree , though they will agree but at a later stage.  Final it is not printed paper money but virtual money.

And you would have liked, when they set up their order in the country by you, try to influence the financial sector, and even accusations of aiding terrorism. So from here and there is a ban, then there can be a concept and legalization. but so far in the first place a complete ban.

The bitcoin is a decentralized currency it doesn't depend on any government so the bitcoin can be used in many untraceable ways so maybe many illegal activities can occur. It actually not good for any government the will get some loss due to loss of taxes,in future all people started to use bitcoins then there will be no income for governments. That's why the started to ban bitcoin but actually they can't stop any transaction even it was banned in their country.

In my opinion, gaovernment bans bitcoin because they donot benefit in this kind of money, since it was manipulated or can be manipulated online, there will be no taxes for the said money. Taxes were the only thing why government earn, and they do not get that from bitcoin. another point is that, bitcoin has a higher currency exchange than any flat money.

No one can control bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized there is no authority on bitcoin to control. So governments are wasting their times because they know that bitcoin take over on there currency therefore they are trying to make their people fool but it will not happen because people are showing there love to bitcoin. Because bitcoin can eliminate poverty while government cannot do that.

Yap, we never know what will happen in the future, the government is just afraid to try new things. as we know gold and money are controlled by the government but bitcoin is only controlled by commercial companies. I think the government is only afraid if bitcoin is abused

I See topics about banning and I want to ask.

Is botcoin really that bad? To banned by other countries?
Do the other government in other countries see something bad?
Can bitcoin be used to locate us?and see what we are doing? In short a Spyware.

Countries banned bitcoin because afraid lost government funds..
Many peoples invest to bitcoin for safe own money. Fiat currency is not stable now.
It's better than bank.

In addition to the issue of inflation, bitcoin is also capable of taking over all financial systems because it can not be intervened by anyone, this will be a big problem in the future. The government is banning bitcoin for now because it is unable to make strong regulations, while bitcoin development is always increasing every day, no word other than ban, but I'm sure it's only temporary.

The bitcoins is not bad. It's the government that gets scared to the things they cannot control. They cannot regulate nor tax bitcoins because they also cannot easily track the users in every transactions. Banning the use of bitcoins in one country could create connotations making the image of cryptocurrency bad.

Bitcoin is one of the currency in the internet. Cryptocurrency is a big thing now, it can be seen in most of the advertisements online. If you are a normal person who does not read about this advertisements, you will just ignore it like everybody else. But since you are on bitcoin, when you see a advertisement about bitcoin, you know what it is about and you care about it.

Some government bans bitcoin because they do not know what bitcoin is. They are treating bitcoin as a threat but in reality it is not. They should be knowledgeable about something before banning it. They might also be scared that cryptocurrency might overthrow the real currency and also overpowering them as politicians.
