Why do some government ban bitcoin?

Some country banned the bitcoins because government did not understand the value and the beauty of bitcoins, i think is also a tax to earn a government, because bitcoins hard to corrupt by abuse position in the government.

And because of being anonymous when you send and receive money, some people buy illegal things using Bitcoin. Yes one of its reason is because of the anonimity but those scam cases regarding ICOs are more threat to the public because a lot of people are now investing to the digital currency market due to its earning potential and their way to enter the market is to invest in some ICOs. But there are people trying to take advantage on it by making fake site, fake tokens, fake whitepaper just to deceive investors.

A lot of people using bitcoins for illegal things like exchanging bitcoins into drugs, exchanging bitcoins for serial killings (especially on deepweb). Maybe the government wants to stop all of that and the main reason is they are using bitcoin to exchange into someting and convert it to money.

Because these goverment don't have enough ability to control Bitcoin and its disadvantages so they afraid that Bitcoin can harm the economies in their country and it can become the result of guilty cause Bitcoin transaction is anonymous so it's almost impossible to find out the owner of any transaction so a lot of crimes trying to take advantage of this case to commit a crime like drug trafficking, tax evasion, money laundering,.....

It's an online currency, so it can be "mined" or it can be earned through other means, and some are actually not comfortable using a currency that is not backed by gold reserves which is usually the case for the traditional currency. Other countries are also a bit unsure that it is open to being hacked, since again, it is an online currency. because it is decentralized and technically do not originate from any other country and rules which make it shady and somehow uncontrollable and audited by the government. It also do not provide income tax which majority of the goverments get budget into. But somehow banning bitcoin is not possible unless they plan to ban usage of internet in their country.

perhaps the government is afraid of price inflation or the government does not benefit from bitcoin transactions, but now the Chinese government has already authorized the bitcoin transaction.

Bitcoin is not bad. It is the people that uses bitcoins that are subjected to bad and illegal stuff. Since the government has no control to what the transactions lead to, the only thing they can do is to ban it in their country. I do not know how did they manage to completely ban it (or if they can) but I think some user can still use bitcoins by using different IP address or using the right browser/software.

In my own perspective, i think they ban it because they not want to forget fiat because in fiat they has a profit and also like i thought of bitcoin, it can easily transact in some illegal things such as firearms and illegal drugs.
