Why was the equihash algo used? I hate equihash algo, far too power hungry and makes it expensive to mine.

Why not use an algo thats more memory intensive and less core intensive the way Eth is, possibly with the Eth algo?

Seems to me that would make this more attractive to miners, especially in this early stage where the value is almost nothing. I'd point some of my power at it, but with the cost of power I'd be losing money.

I understand its an investment, however if its not even going to break even due to cost of power then I dont see the demand for this coin rising much. Bitcoin Gold coming soon and Bitcoin Z will be squashed if not profitable.

i prefer equihash over eth honestly but thats because it favors nvidia cards which i own in my rigs.

I use nvidia cards also, but this isn't really about that, it's about the fact that equihash uses more power and reduces profits. Not everyone has cheap power. Even with nvidia cards, my 1080ti's are very thirsty.

Is there any any chance to do a TOken burn??, or even Vote it by the community?

I see ciruclating supply is growing way higher than the demand, a lot everyday...

I understand this project is not to make fast free money... However this is not looking good in this ways.. There´s a couple of this this community should learn about DOGE, one is that big supply doesn´t scale..

With a 1080ti+1070 i get like 1000 tokens a day... honestly that´s too muchs considering i get 5 sumokoins a day with same rig. Keep in mind difficulty is incresing, but also the power of gpus... that´s why Zcash forks got lower supply...

Hey look, I have mined both coins extensively and really noticed no energy usage difference. In fact, I always felt that Ethash used a tad more? as my mining room temps always seemed lower when mining Equihash lol

And I am mining BTCZ same as I was ZEC, no difference and I am operating at about a 25% electric usage. So every $1000.00 of BTCZ (or any equihash coin) I will spend about $250.00 in power. Same holds true for even Ethash etc. I mind a lot of Expanse early on, was very profitable. My power cost here - average is around 5.5 cents a kWh.

If Iwere you I would be mining this or any Equihash coin vs Ethash coins  Smiley monitor for a few days

well that’s just not true is it! With difficulty rising my 20 RX 480 are making about 2500 coins a day and your 2 cards are making nearly half that lol check your facts before posting

Now, if you want a real cheap power coin and gives off a lot less heat and is very stable "mining wise" mine good old Monero XMR.... luv that coin but unless your riding a wave in price... then its usually not the payoff you can get with other coins. Also, if you going to be out of town and will be leaving miners somewhat unattended, mine Monero lol

Sounds close to what I have mining on BTCZ, What is your total H/s or MSol/s with your 20 - 480's

I have a butt load of 280x's running lol and of course a mix of newer cards.

EDIT: I have one rig with 4 x RX 480's 8GB, its at all stock runs at -1150 H/s or about 280 H/s per card... not overly impressive. I get that or a little more from the 280x. however they use more gas lol

Depends on how you setup your rigs and exact gpu model your using. I have Zotac Amp Extreme 1080ti's and on Ethash I run them at 70% power, -200 core, and 600 mem, and my yield is nearly the same as if I ran them at 80+ power and 0 core with 600 mem. I dont dual mine because the dual coins aren't paying more than the gained Eth running only Eth. The price and difficulty of Eth change the variables. but my rigs run FAR cooler, room is FAR cooler. When I run equihash I have to run those same cards at 80+% and cant lower the core without losing hash. My PNY 1080ti wont hash well lower than 80% on Ethash or equihash, so I definitely think gpu model makes a big difference. On my 1070 rigs I run several gpu models but the Zotac 1070's I can run at 50% power, -220 core 750 mem on ethash and temps are awesome in the low 50's C or lower. On equihash I have to give them 85% to get decent hash, and efficiency tanks below 75% with my temps hovering around the 69 to 71 C range.

I set 2 of my Zotac 1080ti's on BitcoinZ, so I'm watching it for a couple days to see how it goes. Seems initially to be a losing proposition short of a big future price jump.

I´m around 1170 Sol/s (1080ti FE + 1080 evga) modest OC looking for efficiency and hardward durability, i could get more if i wanted.. My numbers got worse last couple of thats, i was mistaken, i did get 630 in last 24H. That´s still, in my opinion a lot of tokens. 1070Ti and faster gpus are around the corner...
If i had AMD i would go to cryptonight or something else honestly. Equihash is good on nvidia.

Ahh I see, that makes a difference lol, NVidia fairs well with Ethash. Still tho you should be in the black mining Equihash. Sounds like you have a good setup/rigs! I'm all AMD nowadays"

And yes, no money in dual mining. Torture your cards and get less of the the main coin  Roll Eyes

Sounds like a decent set up too. I don't think the coin supply or current block payout is or isn't to high. It is what it is and the price will reflect, mining, difficulty, speculation and the devs efforts, will make it all wash out in the end and probably end up being valued at about the same as ZEC lol

However, I am mining because I feel there is a chance it will perform well and find its way to bigger exchanges and we will see a price rise. Time will tell, but I like the stats I have seen and price and participation in here etc.  I just want to bank a few for a rainy day  Wink

I'm having a BTCz withdrawal problem. I made a request to send the TRADESATOSHI exchange to the wallet, but the transaction is still being processed, more than two days.
Me and three other friends with this same problem. The transaction is not released and the cancel option does not appear.
Does anyone know what this might be?

 Huh Huh Huh Undecided
