After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

There is a difference between the right time to enter and the optimal time, if a coin pumps and you sell at 80 times the value that you bought then you made crazy profits but if the pump goes up as high as 100 then you did not sold at the optimal price but that is not important the important thing is that you made money, the same is true here, if the price is below the price of the last weeks then that is a good moment to buy even if it is not the optimal.

actually you don't need to buy bitcoin and alternative coin when these hit the floor. buy bitcoin in lowest prices need analysis and stay tune to see the graph of fluctuations. if you don't do that. buy bitcoin at this moment is now problem because you will find high prices of bitcoin next near time. or trade bitcoin / alternative coin in short trade with few percent fluctuations

basically bitcoin market is very difficult to guess and always runs randomly, so it will be very difficult to find a definite time to buy bitcoin for profit, all we have to do is just observe and be careful when to buy and when we should be patient.

I think the right time to buy bitcoin when the value of bitcoin decrease and you start to invest i know that bitcoin is volatile so that is why when the bitcoin decrease it give triple to increase so thats why its good to buy btc when the price is dump.

if you believe bitcoin you can buy it when and sell it when the price is high. maybe you can buy bitcoin when there is bad news that impact on bitcoin when it's possible there is panic sell then happened dump then put buy at lowest price you think because the bitcoin price will recover.

You also have the option of technical and fundamental analysis. Seeing where the previous support and resistance of the coin along with news can be a good way to pinpoint where you can buy a certain coin. There are others who said that technical analysis don't work on cryptocurrencies but I beg to differ because you can see in the chart the market sentiment and price action which can tell you where the price can possibly go. Most traders especially the newbies will react to every news not minding if it is fake or not and if they see that price is going down, they would join the herd and panic sell and this would the best opportunity to buy.

First you could try to learn how to read or even better draw on the chart.
You should already knows about resistance and support. Bullish and Bearing candle, and all.
Then try matching the chart with the news, and voila.
