I would have to go with Bitcoin for this one. There is way too much marketing into BTC compared with ETH

they both have their problems. Bitcoin has slowed down to a crawl currently. And Ethereum both slowed down to a crawl (it was recently clogged down with some kitty app, one app did that!) and it is additionally not safe to use (the DAO and recently Parity wallet are proves of that). Maybe you should suggest a third option to choose from ? Yes both digital currency has its own problem in their recent performance because both price goes down recently. But since though it has many kind of coins to be considered almost a hundred kind of coin exist biycoin and ethereum still considered the two major coins that performs well. And among the two bitcoin is the most preferable one. |

Both of them are awesome. Lets talk about algorithm here.
Bitcoin using SHA-256d Algorithm
ETH using Ethash Algorithm
Both algorithms has PoW ( Proof of Work ) Blockchain.

In my view, these two currencies are very potential, you can get a lot of profit from investing in these two currencies, the current bid is over $ 19,000 and the current ETH is near $ 900, great potential for investment to make a profit. My advice is that if you have money, you should invest in ETH right now and hold it, predicting the next 2 years the price of ETH as well as BTC will be very high, sure profits will be huge.  |

Those coins are good, bitcoin and ethereum have their different benefits but one thing is sure, that those two coin will have a good profit if you hold it.

Both these coins will go defunct for the sole reason that they are the oldest that still have issues in it.
The coin that addresses the shortcomings of bitcoin and eth will rise.
It sure did lay the groundwork but as usual for every first runner its always a challenge to stay ahead of the rest.
If it can evolve, it will survive otherwise it will vanish just as fast.

For me both crypto currencies it is good for investment. But for this year, I would choose ETH as the winner, in terms of the increase the price both showed a great performanc but ETH is more the significance of the increase the price this year.

ETH has gone up by close to 40% during the last two days (versus BTC). But I don't think that the gains are going to last. Many of the ICOs are moving away from Ether, using alternatives such as Waves and Stellar Lumens. The user base remains stagnant and the recent spike seems to be resulted from price manipulation by the whales.

I would agree with all comments that both are great. I would recommend to split and hold both  Yes, i also agree with all comment that both Bitcoin and Ethereum is a good to hold and at the same time invest. Because if you can see that both coin or altcoin is they have a potential to grow especially in bitcoin because bitcoin is a mother of all coin. |

Bitcoin and ethereum is both good, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and ethereum is the best altcoins, but if i will choose between this two there are still no doubt that bitcoin is still the best choice to do, bitcoin is running for many years and many people are trusting bitcoin really well so there are still no doubt bitcoin will always be the best among the rest. |

Ethereum has lost its mojo once Bitcoin Cash came in to the picture. It is still remaining as the no.2 crypto, just because a lot of the ICOs are using it. But ETH support base is slowly eroding. I expect Bitcoin Cash to overtake Ethereum sometime in 2018. In the medium term, there will be only two top cryptos - Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and lot more popular than etherum. So i will invest 60% in bitcoin and 40% in etherum because both of them are good for investment.

For me, both sides will be good too, invest, mining, trade. Ethereum is the second of my rating that will become successful and will become expensive. Even ethereum is the second of the most useful, and costly cryptocurrency some coins are still rising. But I’m still want to gain some bitcoin because of the reason it is the first digital currency that I obtain and earn. |

Both are great but I love to go with Bitcoin than ETH.
Yes both BTC/ Bitcoin and ETC/ Ethereum are good investment. There's no doubt that both of it have the capability to become source of income. But if I'm gonna choose between Bitcoin or Ethereum, I'm gonna choose Bitcoin; its value is more profitable than Ethereum. |

If smart contract was success implement by BTC, it could be a good progress.
We already know smart contact in Ethereum was being offered many dev to creates many project for promoting their tokens/ico's, although many of them are going to scams, but interest people still not reducing.
So for now, i would say systems Ethereum was still more better.
