For me , I choose bitcoin. There are so many sites in the web that has a great long term investments especially in bitcoins. Some sites for investing are legit's but also some sites are fake and not paying out. Watch out for that fake sites because all of your effort and money will be wasted in investing for fake sites. But investing is a very good idea even though is requires a very long period of time to claim but its worth it.

I look for cryptocurrency to eventually supplant Wall Street, so I like the fintech plays for long term holds. BMC, XRL, MTH, TKN, SALT, BCO, TAAS and the NOUS ico.

We can only assume and hope for the best!
Depends on us, the people using and investing! I cannot recommend anything I haven't heard of and invested in, therefore I can recommend this altcoin which has a strong project behind it https://www.footballcoin.io.

The coin is XFCCoin and is the cryptocurrency from the game! I was most convinced of it when I saw real improvements of the project in a short period of a few months and now they want their own blockchain for smaller transaction fees.
I feel it resonates with some of my needs, as a newcomer in the crypto world.

I don't think anyone can really tell for sure which of these tokens or coins are great long term investment aside from bitcoin but for me next to bitcoin would most probably be Ethereum which is slowly being recognized because of ICO's.

My favourite would be stratis, guts and atlant. Their projects and what the intend to do is new, refreshing and useful. they make an improved version of things that already exist. stratis makes sidechains so companies can have blockchain to work wit and i think in a few years every company in the world is going to wantto work with that

Certainly, we can not buy altcoins without Bitcoin, unless you know exchangers accept other payment method to buy altcoin, but the rates always higher than the Bitcoin rates.
Bitcoin is the King, so, its value can not under other cryptocurrencies.
A lot of altcoins have wanted to replace Bitcoin in the past, but you can see these altcoins just dumped their price after Bitcoin increased to $3,000 and $6,000.

If you're looking for a longterm investment with great profit, then there's no doubt that the best coin there is, is bitcoin. Up until now, we can see how the price had surge up from what it was before. Although, there are other great coins by which the potentials are becoming noticeable due to the increase in their value such as Eth, Lite and Waves. so far, I'm watchng out for Deeponion and ETN because of its credentials. you can also do some of your own research.

Next one is Aventus or AVT. They have a promising project. Next is eth, eth is one of the trusted coin and people are looking at its great possibility in booming. So buy ETH.

Only Ethereum is enough to holding for long term. I do not think other tokens used the Ethereum platform can overpass the price of Ethereum. If the price of Ethereum can not grow, other tokens used its platform also have trouble about the price.

If you are looking for a digital currency that is anonymous, safe you can invest in litecoin as it is a copy paste of bitcoin their protocols are the same and also the price of litecoin still currently at $55.75 you can invest your money while its still early if the price goes up in the future. But as i can see altcoins are having a hard time prove their worth because of bitcoin.
