There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

From electrum: addresses tab - select address - right click - private key. Copy private key, then open shield-qt, help - debug - console, type "importprivkey <paste your key>" All your coins from this address will be transfered.

I remember the old Shield Coin, but it did not have a large quantity of coins, would it be a new coin with the same name?

any guide on how to change from electrum(which still doesn't work for me) to QT. tried importprivkey but its just giving me a error

https://github.com/ShieldCoin/SHIELD/wiki/SHIELDqt-Import-Keys

In Electrum
wallet->private keys->export

go to debug in QT wallet
help->debug
if QT is locked type
walletpassphrase PASSWORD 1200

then one by one copy the priv key from the electrum window and type
importprivkey PRIVATEKEY

takes about 30 seconds as the QT freezes and adds the address.

If something screwy happens try in debug
walletlock
and re-unlock using walletpassphrase line again.

And to make sure the address shows up in the QT wallet type importprivkey PRIVATEKEY twice.

Best way to do it is like this:

Start the QT Wallet and start syncing (it doesn't have to be synced to do the next steps but your coins will only show up when u synced up far enough for your coins to be visible on the blockchain)

Don't encrypt the wallet yet, leave that for when everything is done and synced.

Now go to "Help" -> "Debug Window" -> "Console"

Type the following in the console window: importprivkey <privkey> <label>
This will import your Electrum wallet address into the QT wallet.
Do the same "privkey" a second time for every Electrum wallet address so you get a code -4 in red, after the second time your wallet addess will also be visible on the "reiceve" tab.
DURING THIS PROCESS YOUR WALLET WILL SHORTLY FREEZE IT'S NORMAL Wink

Don't worry if your coins don't show up immediatly, let the wallet sync and at a certain point u will see that your balance begins to grow and transactions show up on the "transactions" tab

Instructions on how to extract your privkey from the Electrum wallet are somewhere in this topic but can be found elsewhere too i guess. Good luck !

How about you DYOR on Denarius (D)

Shieldcoin seems like a project with a lot of potential. I´m glad that i found it right now. I will definitely keep an eye on it from now on. Are there any exchange listings already?

Which is pretty good so far for a smaller exchange. Can still mine this somewhat easy as well. Just pick an algo and go go go.

Back to mining this , lets hope we can hit 1000 satoshi , be a good place for teh coin to start to settle and rise as a few problems held the coin back from its true starting price.
I've been lucky, ive mined some and brought some.

Stocks is sound, been using for awhile with no problems and theres alot of btc on there.

Coinmarketcap is a good step forward , its great publicity.

1000 satoshi I doubt it. there is a too large a amount of coins.

god I would have like 190k dollars worth of coin then. I wouldn't mind though.

did the export private keys on electrum. there are like 26 of them. do I have to do every single one of them?

Only do the public keys that match your addresses with coins

Probably only the addresses with balances. You never know what Dev has in mind with this coin now that the QT has been released and the FUD can die.
