But if you fork it from an already well established coin there aren't too many mistakes to be made. Could be a safe route to get good MNs running.

Smart marketing tactic! And that is what will make this coin grow. It needs marketing.

Have you considered changing the name to Shield rather than Shied Coin? I think it sounds better and is more catchy to just call it Shield.

Recipe for success: Look at successful projects, such as Electroneum, for example, and find ways to improve on what they have done to get to where they are.

Yeah, we kinda already did. The name of the coin is SHIELD, and we're working on getting everyone on page but we would rather put our resources in other stuff at the moment.

I would try blake2s algo with ccminer alexis version for nvidia.

I think the number 39,393,939 is a good number. it shows small mammon in the Eastern or china.
