Newbie question: Why is having a masternode important? Of what benefit is it?
Masternodes - fully synchronized wallets that are connected to the network 24/7. Their function is to serve the network - from conducting transactions to additional services, such as providing complete anonymity of transactions (transactions are NOT recorded in a block system, for example, in Dash), etc. depending on the technology of individual master codes. Since the masterwindows are in fact partially performing the work of the transaction processing miners, they take a part of the found coins in the new block to themselves, thus dividing the profits with the miners.
As a rule, in order to become a masternode you need:
1) Completely be synchronized with the network of blocking.
2) Your wallet matched certain parameters. For example, included 24/7, there was a powerful computer and other technical issues.
3) Have on the purse a certain number of coins.

This would lock up quite a bit of XSH, and wouldn't be short term.  Cool

Another one important feature of masternodes - mixing coins and create fully anonymous transactions.

Masternodes can wait since it's a pretty big deal

but honestly dev. implimenting PoS in its normal form is not complicated.

for the value of the coin to increase I would recommend starting PoS by the end of this year.

when doing the fork make sure you make it right so  we dont have to do a second or third fork. all these forks always make someone loosing their coins because they dont read here for some time.

Yes, PoS in its most normal and basic form could be implemented in no-time. But that basic PoS isn't any better than PoW. The PoS we plan the implement isn't any basic form of PoS and plans to `fix` many of the problems that this basic PoS has. We think it's better to have no PoS for a while than a PoS that's possible broken.

XSH masternodes are good for those, who wants hype and to dump their coins on a high price. Nothing more. There is no reasons for masternodes already.

Masternode is good to secure the network, not only to get free coins and dump them.

Hey,

May I ask what are your ideas for the Shield POS? I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks
