Iam new to this but i was wondering something. Shield keeps growing for the last couple of days in value, is that because of the easy mining now or does mining not affect the price and is this growth primarly because of people investing in this coin?
Mining does, indeed, affect the price of the coin. I'd suggest the reasons for XSH's rise are: - Unique multi-algorithm system - Committed developers - A decently active community I what way does it affect the price, in inflation or deflation? And what do you guys think of the huge amount coins availble for this coin? Is that a good or bad thing? Typically anything that increases the supply lowers the price of an item. So if suddenly we were to find a gold mine tomorrow with a lot of gold, the price of gold would come down. So with that analogy more miners should mean a lower price. Cryptocurrency mining is a little odd though. First of all the number of miners doesn't necessarily change the supply of the coin being mined. The blocks just re-target their difficulty to account for the increased # of miners and the same number of coins get generated. So more miners does NOT mean more supply and so it does NOT cause the price to drop in and of itself. In fact, more miners demonstrates more interest in the coin. People are competing to solve blocks because they think the coin is worth something. If a lot of people thing that something is worth a lot of money then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and it becomes worth a lot of money. So all in all a high number of miners should be good for a coin. I'd caveat that with it depends on what miners are doing with the coin. If they're dumping it right away then that could hurt the coin. But if they're mining it because they believe in it's future and want to be part of it then the coin's prospects look bright. As for the huge number of coins - I think it's good. It means that the price of any individual Shield coin should be restrained. Look at Bitcoin today. Each coin is worth thousands of dollars. If I want to buy a cup of coffee in Bitcoin I'd have to pay 0.00051 BTC. It's such an awkward number and it's hard to imagine Starbucks or any major retailer deciding that things should be priced in the decimal points that Bitcoin would require. Shield doesn't suffer from that same weakness. Thanks for clearing that up! I'll do a nice investment just to give it a shot.

Like Aegis transfers fast features, and now it has just begun, please pay attention to publicity and community building it, I like you, and also bought some believe you will succeed. good luck! Hope that in two years and ETH compared, then more powerful. Hope to continue to update the code in the follow-up. Let everyone see your results.

I accidentally came across this coin, and just because someone posted about it od deeponion forum. Then I started reading more about it, so it was pure luck to find it. Hopu ypu devs have some plan for marketing, to get more people know about this.
We do have a plan for marketing. But one of the best ways to market a product is to show people your work is great! But next to being very active, and making SHIELD better, daily, we are also planning to do marketing next to this. Thanks for your interest in SHIELD, really appreciate it! I feel your approach is the right one. Focus on the tech and even if people fail to notice this by now, they will notice at some later point in time no matter what. I rather have a hard working team going unnoticed for some time than a team hyping its coin and losing steam very quickly cuz the tech isn't good enough to carry the enthusiasm.

Mining does, indeed, affect the price of the coin. I'd suggest the reasons for XSH's rise are: - Unique multi-algorithm system - Committed developers - A decently active community Well, you are new. You will learn what is called "manipulating", "pumping" and "dumping", and "fake wall" really soon. Already 400 millions mined ? At least i made 700% in 2 weeks. I'd suggest something: panic buy for nothing else than "anonymous" written on the title + a little up of the price + fake wall installed between 51 and 80 sat at the actual moment (an overvalue of +30 satoshi, at the minimum).

So you've sold your bag then? The money's not made until the bag is sold. The current market-cap of this coin is $3,885,114. IMHO there is at least 6-10x upside here based on the basic utility of the coin alone. Why would anyone, including the mega-whales, sell now?

Maybe i will come back later but hey, it's how i work for some reasons (2 are written in the message above). I take care of my investment when the price grow up and it keep high only because of few fake walls installed lol... I'm not gonna talk anymore about it because of course i'm also here to make money not to reveal anything. Some will understand. I'm in, but people are too existed about the price since yesterday.

I believe this coin will go to $1.00 or more. But something needs to be done to deter top holders from doing a massive dump. Hopefully, the developers will come up with a creative way to motivate people to hold on to their coins. Of course, if the coin becomes popular, there should be enough demand not to have to worry about people mass dumping. But it's not likely going to become popular like that unless it goes to a bigger exchange.
Reducing the total supply might be a good idea, also. That should help to increase the value of the coin even more.
Another helpful thing would be to connect some kind of product to the coin to make it more useful to consumers, such as a specialized wallet that only holds privacy-centered coins, for example. Transaction fees can apply for use of other coins while using the wallet, while Shield can have waved or reduced transaction fees while using the wallet. Its function would be similar to Bitquence (now Ethos), except that the Shield wallet would be more of a niche wallet only dealing with privacy-centered coins. I think something like this could go over very well. Just a thought...
