Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?

it's hard to know if it's okay to hold the coin for 2-3 years because it's possible to lose money.
I just think it's good to hold waves and Ethereum because I believe it will be great value in the future.

In my opinion, Ripples, Stellar and Neo are the best coins for you to buy now and hold for 2 or 3 years. Because they are potential coins with good developers which are set low price. In long term, they will go up x3, x4. I believe that.

I'd add there Stratis, Eos and maybe Bitshares. I find these projects very interesting and I guess they will grow in price.

Most coins are actually good for long term investment. With the list that you have, i think yu should add eth, ripple, litecoin, and avt. Eth is definitely perfect for long term investment, its value had grown over the months and continues to do so; its almost reqching the 1k mark. Avt is a new coin but as i was observing its trend, its value has been improving wven in a short span of time so i guess this coin is also good for long term investment.

i see that also if you are trying to hold for on that long time of holding well ethereum will be one of the best coin to hold for then this could be like that you hoild bitcoin for but choice of another altcoin it may depends on how potentially is that coin for to hold on that long time.

If I were to choose which altcoins am I going to hold on for 2 to 3 years, I would choose some who are under $0.20 in value as of today. To give you an idea regarding the coins am I talking about, I'll be looking forward to these coins to grow in 2-3 years:

* Bytecoin
* Digibyte
* Siacoin
* Tron
* Dogecoin
* Reddcoin

I want to list Electroneum here, but I am feeling that it will pump high due to massive adoption next year. As a result, I may sell some, and keep some as well.

Holding altcoins for 2 to 3 years is a good idea. I will invest the money which I can afford to lose. It's better to invest than not doing anything at all. The reward will be much bigger than the risk. I will buy different altcoins to minimize the lost.

Actually, I agree with you. Ethereum's price situation is giving more hope than the all other altcoin's prices. It is the best altcoin.

for long term my suggestion is bitcoin, ethereum and bitcoincash. i think thats coins have potential and good growth in the future. but to make sure in your choice you must research about the coins first

Thank you for your advice. I haven't really researched the first three you've given, but I will do some research and find out myself why you put them on the list. 

We all know that there are many altcoins that is running in crypto world and there are still so many altcoins that has a good future just like ethereum and waves, holding this 2 of the best altcoin for 2 - 3 years can surely make us rich in the future, i am confident with that because it has bright futute and it has big chance to rise it's value.

I think it's a very long time target of holding altcoins, and my estimate the average altcoin will increase all if we hold it for 2-3 years, only in my opinion if you want more profit you can hold XVG, because in 2 -3 years ahead the price will rise very high from the current price.

I did not understand your answer a little, because it was sarcasm, or did you say it half the truth? The fact is that there are moments that have a certain value, but I would choose more significant and popular coins.

There are several altcoins which might give you profits but if you carefully look at the market of ripple coin, you would definitely choose this one.
Ripple market capitalisation is too high when compared  to other altcoins, ripple coin's success is obvious as it already surged from $0.05 to $1.80 and is growing gradually by the support of thousands. It has a great potential, i think you should choose ripple
