In my opinion, the altcoins I bought into are Etherum, XLM, WANCHAIN, STEEM,.
These are great coins with good use cases and and am looking at holding these coins for the long term and I know they have a great team that would make these coins increase significantly in value

I agree with your opinion, is very difficult to predict 2-3 years, and it is almost impossible, because encryption of monetary market is changing, as new promising currency appeared, existing currency's value may change dramatically.

I would advise you to still use bitcoin and Ethereum for long-term investments, as they will certainly bring you an excellent result.

If you are HODLING for 2-3 years then better pick good coins with great prospects ahead. I am HODLING NEO, PRG, XRP and XMR for long term. All these coins have good prospects going ahead. Do your research on them, they are worth investing. |

I think it's a long time to hodl 2-3 years. Who can wait so long. for a very long time and people want to make money when they invest. there are very few people waiting for such a long time without gain.

The alt coins for long term in my portfolio are ADA, TAU and XLM. I have huge expectations from these coins as they possess great prospect. They are working on projects which have long term scope. I suggest to DYOR and invest in these coins. |

If you're going to wait 2-3 years, I would only recommend ETH.
If your intention is to wait and maintain for two or three years there are several coins to choose from but I would personally tell you that Ethereum would be one of the best today. At the moment it is lowering its value but surely with time it will have a significant increase. |

Check out for low market cap coins with good team behind them. look out for tokens that give dividends, in that way you make some money while hodling for long term. Check out ethorse and sharpe capital. Also look at Bitbay and aeternity.

If you're doing a long term investment, I would suggest to choose a proven and good platform. Go with Ethereum, Monero and litecoin as this will surely get a higher value in 2 to 3 years of holding.
I don't think holding ETH or Monero is a good ideal anymore since the moment the price of ETH and Monero really have a huge fluctuation which means it's really hard to predict anything. With unpreditable things, holding for 2-3 years is super dangerous and we shouldn't do it is better. |

Altcoins or alternative coins are best known for short term investment. Most of the altcoins' market value are just increasing for a short period of time so holding it for a long period of time might not be that much profitable. The markrt price of altcoins do fall more compared to bitcoin which on the other hand is best at long term holding.
