Altcoin market is unstable, so it's hard to predict what will happen in 2-3 years with alts. You should understand all risks you are taking when making such step. You can hold for long 2-3 years any perspective altcoin, but during this time you need to  analyze market and read all important news about coins you choose and crypto world as well, because forgetting about coins for few years can be as great profit as great failure as well.

Do your homework and don’t rush to buy.  New crypto coins everyday to choose from.  Maybe try some airdrops first no money risk and can get a few coins to get started.  Who knows maybe even the moon coin.  I have been trying one out that is allowing you to earn 20,000 .MTC. for helping with their promotion campaign.  Marinecoín has time tested value and is positioning itself to be a leader in IoT machine to machine transactions.  With zero fees and fast transactions artificial intelligence IoT applications are perfect for this platform.  Investigate for yourself and you can get in with no risk if you are willing to put some effort out.  marineco/in
An interesting comparison of the coin with the moon.  No it is actually really easy, if 2-3 years to keep Aldon nothing can change, because no one knows what will happen to them.

Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?

I sincerely believe in the success of NEO and OMG and see in them a great potential for this year. Also, on my own, I would add coins like: ICX, ADA, KIN, ETC and LTC.

My suggestion is you choose altcoin whose price is still cheap at this time, of course by considering the technology behind it. And let's hope within 2-3 years will be as successful as litecoin or ethereum.

Maybe if I choose between the three I will choose NEO. The resemblance to Ethereum will probably help the NEO succeed in the next two to three years.

Your decision is very wise, at least in my view, leaving XVG, NEO has brought you great benefits, and your patience with coins is worth learning.

I think NEO is good for long term investment. but there are some coins that I think are better LTC and ETH, I think they are coins that have good prospects in the future. but also depends on the development of crypto in the future. if crypto is increasingly accepted in the world, it seems this investment is very profitable.

With such long-term investments, I don't think it's worth listening to someone else's advice. Too long and anything can happen, it's more like a roulette wheel.

If you genuinely wanted to hold then THUG COIN is best coin for holding. I am also holding this coin which is an authentic project and will be the biggest project in the future. So if you wana hold then on my advice put some investment on it. But its up to you that where you want to put your investment.

I think the crypto currency market is not yet so stable that it would be about 2-3 years, probably optimally a maximum of 1 year, then you need to revise the portfolio

I can just repeat my self: Buy modum before it takes off guys. This is a great long term invest with a working product behind it and they are still and early stages. Once the people realize what is behind that project, it will explode  Wink

Hey mate thanks for the recommendation! I am looking for something like this! I will take a look in it "modum"

Do you have any other tokens/coins for investment too?

As far as altcoins go, I suggest investing in PRL. It's definitely one of the most unique projects out there. I hear they have plans to migrate to IOTA smart contract in the future, so now is the time to invest, I think.

Alts are known for short term investment, so I think and in my opinion, it won't be that much profitable for the said time length. But if you still want to, I think tron would be the best one to invest with that amount of time. Holding TRX will probably lead to huge profit in the future since it is potent enough base on its current market statistics.

Yeah I am holding on to TRX too ! Its a small amount for me but just invest what I can afford and hopefully I gain more income from bounties!
Right now am more towards cheap cheap coins for long term holding rather than costly ones for flipping

Just buy ETH and if you have some funds left go for Ripple. In 3 years, you can get anywhere about 30-40x with these two coins.

not all altcoins worth to hold for longterm investment ,i advice you buy top10 altcoins ,their price is stable and will grow day by day ,ETH is the best option i think .

may i know which are the top 10 alt coins you are referring to?

is it based from coinmarketcap ? I see BCH and DASH going up pretty fast now

Xvg and NEO are supporting these altcoins have a future, but as for the rest, not sure. Well, I'd add the advice to buy at this time of LCC and BOScoin.

Thanks for sharing! What is your main reason for LCC and BOScoin?

LCC seems really a good buy seeing the potential of LTC and hope it will reach at least 1/10th of it
