Poverty is a state of lack of sufficient resources for living and well-being. Any one with good education and knowledge can overcome poverty by hard work and stay away from poverty world. One of the causes of poverty is lack of education.

Where i come from and yes many many a town city with same problem OR is it a problem?
I will explain..

I know of many many people who cannot read a word or write ..

Good at kicking asses and good at selling drugs     none of the 2 need you to read and write  
just balls to be ready to die or face long prison sentences NO EDUCATION NEEDED..

And some i know of are doing so good they can make empires up like many shops garages
cafe pubs casinos ..

Education is one which has enabled many people to overcome pov5 causes of povertyerty. Hence you can see almost all the nations in the world spend a lot on education. They provide even scholarships to those from economically backward families. Because of education, there was spread of scientific knowledge. Hence there was progress regarding the production of automobiles, electronic gadgets which made huge profits to the manufacturers. There was also rise in employment due to such growth in economic benefits. So on careful observation, one can notice that poverty countries are those who lack sufficient education among their population.

I really think that the main cause of poverty is the governmwnt it self. If the government is not functioning well the economy would fall. Lack of employment and poor educational system are one of the main causes of poverty. If people will be educated well, other people or countries wouldn't be able to take advantage of them. They can even find ways to fight poverty.

I agree that the environment they belong in largely contributes to poverty.  If the place where people are from doesnot have any opportunity or means to sustain a decent living, people would/may experience poverty. Otherwise, people will have something to sustain their living.  I guess this explains why people would go to cities because livelihood exists in the cities and not as much in the rural areas.

There's a lot of factors why a country is poor. One of the main reason is the government it self. Lack of resources, or resources are not utilized properly. Corruption is also one of the main reason why a country is poor.

For me the main cause of poverty is the mindset of the people. Being poor will never be a hindrance to strive hard and persevere. I know living and being raised in a poor community will discourage you to do your best but if you really want to succeed then you must be eager and hungrier than anyone else.
