Bitcoin's survival is very questionable for a number of key factors. One main factor I find very alarming on the survival of bitcoin is the competition. These usually come from forks that occur 2-3 times a year. New coins emerge and takes on bitcoins with a certain set of better features. Segwit2x is one of those coins that threaten bitcoins as a whole. But let's see. We can never tell the outcome of these coins. Let's just hope that bitcoins are here to stay forever.

Yes I have also thinked about that scenario on how long will it survive here in this world. But well, just by looking at it's performance it is unlikely to happened in a short time. As long as demand is growing and as long as there is someone who is using it, bitcoin won't die easily. Imagine it that with just almost a decade bitcoin was rooted with $100Billion dollars! We are bigger than PayPal pal, and sooner or later bitcoin will surpassed another big companies out there. As the market cap keeps growing larger and larger( because of the mass acceptance of countries by making some legalizations) bitcoin will unlikely die.

Developing countries in the world may not have so much power to stand against the survivor of the bitcoin since  international affair are controlled by the developed nations in the world. I think Bitcoin will survive for some time, but will eventually be replaced by some altcoin (or probably more of them, why use just one anyway) due to Bitcoins limitations.

It might also be used in the future as a stable place to store your savings and use altcoins for daily use.
