Is Master Degree Important?

It depends on the job if it's necessary. A doctor without a Master degree sounds strange to me, however a computer programmer without any degree is totally possible (if coding skills are proven of course)

I think that before all the papers and diplomas, is that you have certain skills related to your workplace. In our days there is too much diplomas and to little specialists who really knows what they do. So yes, de master degree is important as long as you are making your study in a serious university.

If you are looking for a much better job, master degree are really essential. Because it shows how high your education is. Aside from personalities,  educational status are one of the requirements in job interviews because it shows your performance when were still studying.

do you believe master's degree is important? if yes go and have some master's degree, because first and for most the individual himself needs to find its important in his career and for his improvement.
 we may say that when an individual do not find master's degree important he don't need to have some or else it will be a junk or time consuming because you don't have a desire to use it in your job.

I would not say that master's degree is essential. In IT/programming jobs, masters degree has no value at all. Even in my place, more than 90% of the guys only have the Bachelor's degree. It is the knowledge of the computer languages and other skills which matter in the job market, and not the educational qualification such as the master's degree.

It depends on your job and life goals. If you are engineer, you need master degree.
But if you are just cleaning personal, you dont need it

To be honest, you don't need it, except if you are planning to be a professor, then you'll need to have a masters degree, or you are already a teacher and you want a higher salary and position, then you need it. Bachelors degree is enough, as long as you are licensed, then you would be fine.

Come to think of it, some of those businessman don't have a degree, they only use their experience,  or take a look at those construction workers, their head foreman, sometimes they think much greater than their project engineer.

Definitely yes. In applying for a job, a Master Degree would be a great help in landing for a job. Although some company doesnt matter if you have Master Degree or not as long as you are capable of the job.

Sure thing! Proper education gives you more opportunities but we know a lot of examples of extraordinary individuals that prove one can become successful without education.
However, without a master's degree you should be a broad minded person with a strive to become more knowledgeable.

i think it depends on your future aspirations. if you want to work in startups, founder, or tech related field, hands on experience and understanding of solving customer problems is more important than masters. i guess if you are interested in building something, masters or even a degree is not necessary. but if you want to work in established industries such as Finance, manufacturing, CFO etc then it is necessary.

Agreed. It depends a lot on what you are going to be and the field you want to pursue.

Almost all companies around the world see having a master's degree as an advantage, so it's not that bad at all. In addition, you can count it as a self achievement that you can treasure for your whole life. However, having it takes time, effort in studying and not to mention money. So, it better be planned before obtaining it.

As an employer I would choose 3-5 years of job experience from the industry over master degree anyday.
In my country job experience is more important, however some jobs require a minimum education. It is always however a bonus to have a master degree when competing with other job seekers on the labor market. That is also the reason why I am doing master thesis even though I do have a job and do not need (at the moment) a higher education. Just in case - you never know. (its free in my country, of course).

I think master degree is important now a days to upgrade  knowledge that can be acquired in universities. Especially the employees in the government so that they can level up . Every year they are required to submitted the Personal Data Sheet so they can  upgraded units in there masteral degree so that can  be promoted.

A lot of people actually have become successful without masters degrees but these people are those that look for ways beyond the corporate system. Like having their own businesses and investments. A masters degree is mostly to have an advatage over other people when looking for a good job since it really is an advantage

It's just like you're saying. I have an MA and I know people with more than 1 degree and most of them had trouble finding a job. Nobody cared about their education.
Nowadays 2 things count when you're applying.
1. Whether you're referred by someone.
2. Your experience

A degree is important only when only people with none of the above have applied and even then many companies would rather postpone the recrutation than take a random person based on education.

It all depends on what you want to achieve and attain in life. If acquiring a master’s degree will fulfill one’s desire then it is important. Most people do it to find good jobs, however, if you ask me what matters most is whether a person really wants it or not.
