Well, when you can buy it while it has not yet come out to the market and goes to the ICO company. Or if the coin is already on the market, then you simply register in any market that you like and you will get a coin.

Well, there are some ways to buy the altcoin because some will purchase at the time of ICO because they get the bonus for purchases.
Some people will buy the coins after the coin is listed in the exchanges, some will buy on the basis of charts by checking them in CMC.

First of all you need bitcoin, in order to buy/exchange altcoins, second register in an exchanger website, these are the major exchangers around (Binance, Kucoin, Okex, Hitbtc, Cryptopia) after you register there, send your BTC to your wallet in exchanger and start trading.

Always be careful on buying altcoins as this is riskier than Bitcoin.

The main purpose of trading or trading Criptocurrency on the Foreign Exchange Market, is to widen our opportunity to reap the benefits of Bitcoin and Altcoin Selling Transactions In International Markets. This is because in the External Market Exchange there are Hundreds and even Thousands of Coins Cripto are traded. Some Coin Cripto still has a very cheap price to buy at any time the price can be expensive when we resell.

It depends on which altcoin you want to buy. There are a lot of exchanges, and everyone listed some different altcoin. So you can go to CoinMarketCap.com and look for the altcoin you want to buy. You can press on the bottem to the markets button, and then you see a list of exchanges where you can buy the coin or token. The most of these exchanges you have to verifiy with your passport scan.

Well, some of the coins, you can't buy directly using USD (or fiat currency), but you have to buy BTC first, then trade it to the coin you want to buy later. For me, I ignore how much I buy BTC for and just look at how much I actually spend in fiat.

Sign up to binance and bitfinex to start with. This will be more than enough of a selection to choose from. Its good to spend some time observing the way alt coins act in relation to the big cap coins (5billion or over). You will see even more dramatic dips and spikes so the dangers are exponentially higher. Also now probably isn't the safest time to invest in alts.

Follow some coins for sometime(you can use coinmarketcap) and look at their market candles to see how well they are trading and then you can buy those coins . Dont panic sell your coins as well, or you might regret some days later.

Look up for upcoming projects, there must be a market you know better than others. Dig into those, read whitepapers and know about the team. And finally take the jump.

You should first buy BTC or ETH and then use them to buy altcoins. Sadly, that's still how it works

Look for the exchange of altcoin on the coinmarketcap. I believe there will be enough information of what you need. But My suggestion is you may buy altcoins from Binance,  Kucoin and Bittrexx! These exchanges has a high security and this platform is the best for live trading and holding altcoins.

In order to buy your first altcoin special knowledge in trading is not required. You only need to register on the exchange (for example, Bittrex, Poloniex, Binance and others), transfer money to a exchange, select the interesting altcoin and buy it.

Yeah it's tricky when you are first starting as you need to have a crypto to initially invest plus a wallet to hold the final product in.
First thing is to find a safe place to purchase bitcoin or ethereum. I would personally stick to the big companies.
If it's an ethereum token that you will eventually receive and the ICO doesn't have it's own wallet then I recommend MyEthereumWallet or as it's often called MEW.

Do your research though and only invest what you can afford to lose.

Here are my favorite exchanges to buy altcoins:
1. Coinbase: For only Ethereum and Litecoin
2. Bittrex: This exchange was the first altcoin exchange I’ve used and is a classic.
