In terms of vs btc the value is going down yes, but in terms of usd it's more or less the same. After bitcoin is done with all this hardforking I think the altcoin market will pick up again.

Hope so, the trend is worrying in the long term for the entire crypto market.

The idea is being built more and more around the consensus that only bitcoin's the real value in the cryptomarkets and that's where the money's flowing making altcoins less and less worthy and focus of interest by the markets.

It’s normal to experience some price dips, don’t think that altcoins are already dying. Because of these hard forks, its hard to say what the price of bitcoin and the other coins may be because altcoins are also affected by the hard fork and price of bitcoin. It is still good to invest in other coins and it is possible for the price to shoot up after the fork so I don’t believe that altcoins are dying.

These FUDers are thinking of death all the time. When they see that there are red marks everywhere, they instantly spread posts about death to altcoins and to bitcoin. What the heck! We may not even be certain if your deaths are much nearer to happen than these altcoins'. Perhaps even long after we are gone, these altcoins are still here and are already ruling the world. High and lows are always normal. Green and red are always parts of altcoins' value.

The entire market is in the red. Everyone has lost money. What do you think?
a lot of people are pessimistic in business and that's a bad thing that should not be done in altcoins business, but still a lot of altcoins also bitcoin players who still run it then altcoins will definitely stay and better in the future
Altcoin market turns red because bitcoin is too superior right now. yeah I'm also losing because bitcoin is getting stronger and altcoin I'm buying has decreased in price. maybe if you do not want to take such a big risk right now. it's better to switch to bitcoin trading than altcoin trading. while waiting for the bitcoin price to be as usual that is not too extreme.

of course everyone has lost money, thats because those token were never contracts or obligations, they bought empty token for money they have worked for

you can never win with that.
I don't think everyone lost money. Coins with solid fundamentals are holding strong in the market.

Unless you're investing in a pump and dump, you just need to be patient to see you investment rise in value.

Alts should be at the bottom right now (or pretty close to i'd say) so it is a good time to buy, not to sell. They might go a little futher down in antecipation of the hard fork in 2 weeks but they will probably see a lot of growth before 2017 ends.

For now, it is down but in the next weeks, months it will surely  rise again. That's the normal thing in trading world. Ups and downs are normal. Its up to the investor what will be the right path that he/she wants to do. If they wanted to gain a profit just hold it until it becomes green again.

It seems that old altcoins (MGO, LUN, 1ST, etc) are in a shitty position and the new altcoins (OMG, METAL, TEX, etc) are in a much better situation right now.

If we look at the growth dynamics of all altcoyins and see that everything is in red, that is, they all fell strongly in the course, then we can not especially worry. As a rule, their volatility is manifested, which is embedded in their very nature and after a while they will be restored in price, and perhaps immediately go into growth.

I haven't even noticed most of those coins in Coinmarketcap. I am pretty sure that they won't be that popular even if they had a high price.

Yes, such coins haven't found among the listed assets of coinmarketcap. In specific most of the recent successful ico project tokens were providing good results on the growth. Hope this will continue as the price of bitcoin too has started to increase.

I don't believe all coins are dying. There are so many ICOs launching, you have just got to look into them before investing and do your research. Many ICOs take your money but there is nothing behind the coin and in some cases where there is business behind he coin, that business is not well established. This is where people tend to lose their money. Before investing a cent in an ICO make sure they have a plan and an identity.

No. I don't think they dying now. It's a market, someone is leaving, new ones are coming. Every day new projects are born.
With the regulation, about which many people now saying on this forum, I think the situation will change and there will be more "stable" projects

It's said here before but let's say it again: The reson for the red days is the fork. Many people are moving there cash to btc so they can get free money. If you think back to june it was a red time. This is nothing compared to that, so don't worry. It's red yes but not that mutch. The hing to think about is if they can't stop giving away free money every fork the marked will crash. Hold your altcoins and you will se a rise after the fork since the people getting the free money will sell it and buy back what they sold.

It is too normal for bitcoins to rise to affect other altcoins. Do not worry too much about these and the market will go up again.
