There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I made a paper wallet for my son and I deposit a smaller amount of Bitcoins there every month. I kept it in a secret place that only me and another person knows.

Well this was a great thing to do until there is bitcoin. Since a lot of us here is entering the bitcoin world just to have part time source of income therefore with your income you must save for your future. Saving actually works when you really love to save for your family.

I'd like to invest bitcoins for them but not that much, I will invest what I can afford to lose because bitcoins is just a digital currency, who knows what will happen in the future.

When bitcoins is still exist or not..
Who knows bitcoins price after 10 to 20 years at least I've still try to invest for them in bitcoins.

Saving bitcoin for your children is good and that help to them for their future incase that you become death or gone. But here's the thing even you save bitcoin for your children if the bitcoin die your safe become useless. Better if you save only some bitcoin and other money will be in the bank to make sure ts safe for any losing and your money will stable and will not decrease.

Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh
Well, that was really possible making an investment or savings for the future of your children. What the main problem in it will be the price rate if it will continue to pump or it will be a useless saving in the future. But, I do hope that it will go out in the positive manner. As bitcoin continues to make a way raising its price in the market, making a saving wiith it will be beneficial specially talking about the future sake wherein the price might grow up into a larger one.

Saving the bitcoin details in a last will sounds like a good idea. I suppose it would make it difficult to access if I wanted it for any reason, such as maybe diversifying in the future? I think some clear instructions would also need to be included on what my kids will need to do to use bitcoin. Even if they are not interested in it's use, then I guess the accountant/solicitor would be able to advise?

With the current trend of crypto's I would say that a single bitcoin would be enough for the future, when I say this I mean in a very long term (10-20 years from now) and I believe that bitcoin will have a much higher value that it has now, it has a great potential, and we hope that new "updates" will be in the bitcoin and blockchain so it would be easier to use for everyone in the world.

It's very good decision in saving bitcoins for our children or for our future. especially when we are getting old. We could save a lot of bitcoins. If we wouldn't waste it for nothing. We can turn our bitcoins to paper money for the future.

never give children too much money so they can use money well, want to raise them in a way that teaches them to work well and intelligently. Therefore I am not saving BTC for my children. with little allowance can give them their own safe surroundings.

I also want to find out about this matter because this is important considering the fact that you can die anytime and the wealth you have collected should go to your children if ever. It would really be a great thing if ever someone has made a way on how some of your children can access your earning so that they can use it in supporting their daily needs. In my case, I am working hard because I know time will come where I'll have my own children and we'll need financial support.

Time will come where we'll leave this world behind and all of our existing properties is needed to be handled by our close relatives or our children. Bitcoin I think hasn't solved this matter yet and it would really be a great thing if ever things changes and managed. It would be a great thing if all the hard works and efforts you've spent in your life will be paid even after living.

[The idea is good. I think In order to minimize risk 1 BTC is okay. The rest should be saved in FIAT currency.

This is a very intriguing idea you got here investing for his/her children is what good parents will think right away but combining it with bitcoin its just wow. I could careless what if me and my wife do that too and our children will benefit for it. However if I am gonna do what you are planning to do maybe I'll leave a letter for them or video and instructions on how to reach my state so that they could continue my legacy of bitconing.

It depends on how old you are. Probably, if you take care of 1 bitcoin for your children and think that it will be in 10 years, perhaps it will bring you a lot of money.

There is uncertainty in bitcoin. If you are going to save something for your children it better not be bitcoin. I think, with your bitcoin buy gold or any physical investment. That way you're sure there is a good future for them.
