I can say that bitcoin and some alts only are still profitable. The reason why I said some alts, not all are legit so we couldn't surely expect that you will gain on the alt that you buy. But for me, in terms of profit I will prefer on alts even it was risky because but if you buy at a right you will earn profits more than by itself.

Yes, they are still profitable. I am only a Jr. Member but I experienced how to trade. In terms of bitcoin it is better to hold for long term. If you want to get a profit, buy it in a lower price ang sell it in a higher price. Just only wait for the right time.
Your rank on this forum is not the point you're brand new trader or pro trader, but the experience on trading it's makes you're good enough how to deal with loss and how to get profit in small amount.

I dont think so, a lot of people have been losing a lot of money because this has been a year for bitcoin, it has been almost the only coin who has most rised during this year, and bitcoin moves and changes all the altcoin prices , and this is one of the most important reasons of why trading has started to be a huge waste of time for a lot of users. I love trading, i really enjoy doing so, but sometimes i am on a huge loss because everytime that bitcoin starts a new pump, all the pairs in where i am trading start to decrease, and that is annoying.

At this phase? I'd say that holding is a lot more profitable then trading and It's probably safer but  If you decide to trade then do it for the long term and with coins with a good roadmap, getting involved in some pump and dump useless coins will only make you lose eventually.
I think it all depends on the person himself. If he is good at trading and he actually thinks that he can do well in the world of trading, then there is nothing bad in doing trading. In fact, trading is the best thing to do but only when you are having a very good grip on each and everything. Otherwise, there is no point of taking such kind of risk and you should go for playing a safe game instead.
Definitely, in general terms, trading is something that someone who is good and very much knowledgeable can do pretty well. It is just the determination and the willingness to learn that matters instead of trying to cut corners which would never help. At those stage of bleeding though, I would just stay away and wait until when the bleeding stops.

There are lots of opportunities hidden within trading to make us millionaires but we need to be right minded traders to make use of those opportunities. Otherwise, we can never find trading will be profitable.

Trading is a bit risky in case of bitcoins and altcoins as there is fluctuation in it's value everytime.I would say that trade only if you need the money badly, because if we take a look at the graph of the value of bitcoins and some altcoins like ethereum its value has increased more than ten times over the value it was the previous year.So who knows what all may happen in the matter of a just few months in the case of bitcoins and altcoins. So hold your investment until you can.

Of course it's still profitable. Why is it still profitable? Because basically, the price of each cryptocurrency will always go up over time. Therefore, investing into cryptocurrency is very important and definitely profitable. Well, maybe not everything works. But we know that the price of Bitcoin and some cryptocurrency below it will always rise and grow. We just collect cryptocurrency that is definitely profitable, for example like: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, and so on. Even Dogecoin, it may be profitable in the future. But Dogecoin is not suitable for investment. That's because the price is not much changed and only good for transactions.

It is profitable, infact it is more profitable now and there are so many options, a lot of alt coin keep on appearing, and alt coin fluctuation is very high, but for Bitcoin it's more profitable to just hold it, because it's constantly go up and the drop is only a while

Trading will always be profitable as long as you have good coins and good knowledge.
And yeah just by looking at the current price of bitcoin and when you're holding some pieces of it you actually sitting on your profit
While in alts now that we're really in a roller coaster ride and many are losing hope that they can profit and regretting that they should sell their alts and go full time in bitcoin, sadly, we can't do anything about this but to trust our alts that just in time it will get its revenge.

I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. Thanks a ton!
I can absolutely say this time that Holding our coins is much more profitable especially in terms of bitcoin when you truly want to hold bitcoin this days until next year yes you will earn more profits.

As far as i could see and in my own experienced if you have an extra fiat to invest at trading and have a good sense of timing, you would earn a good profit.

On trading if you get lucky, your money will get double in a days or weeks. However, you should be cautious and need more effort to study on each coin/token of your choice. Because if you get excited and buy at ATH then suddenly dump. you may lost half or more of you investment.

i think if you have proper skills then daily trading is profitable. I  always try to long term treading.because now market is very bad. no one know which will pump.Thats why i hold for long term.when coin pumps and i am in profit i sold that coin.

I think the day or the year you use to trade is to quite different from now because there is too many altcoins that are booming right now. Trading with bitcoins or in altcpins is always profitable depending on how you manage your trades. Keep on exploring and learnings we all start in lossing money on it but don't quit learning.

Def better to hold good coins right now or buy dips for the coins that have news coming out so you can hopefully sell before the "news" actually comes out for a decent profit, thats been a bit tougher latly
Personally I don’t know much about other coins trading but I am pretty sure about bitcoin trading that it is circulated I good way that trading into this coin brings good days in no time and one thing is sure about bitcoin that it never let down its investor and it has maximum potential to deliver profit to the investor and altcoin are not popular among the folks so investing into altcoin is risky go for risk free and btc is best.

You have to hold good coins with you. There are so many people who often buy some cheap and useless coins in dips but those coins wouldn’t work for them and then they have to sell them with much loss. So this is your duty as responsible person, you must go for the coin that is working better before you chose it as your trading coin. Be vigilant and deep observant while choosing.

i think its still profitable but we need to know how to pick the right price when we want to buy or sell because the situations now is like a trap and if we are not be careful, we can not make profit. trading bitcoin and other alts have a risk especially if we don't have any knowledge in trading. beside that, we need to control ourselves when everything is not work like what we want and we need to thinking about the next step that we choose.

In a thread i created, i used an example of an altcoin.

I said i would like to buy lisk at 5 dollars and buy 1000 lisk so 5000 dollars.  let say lisk is 0.0007 btc at that moment.  I buy it on bittrex.  Then when i notice lisk hits 6 dollars, i plan to sell it.  Thus make 20 percent profit on the 5k so 1000 profit less trading fees.  However let say btc went up around then.  So when i get my btc... i only get 0.0065 btc per lisk.

Someone tells me that here... i actually lost money.  Is this true or not?  I understand how i get less btc than i invested as invested 0.0007 btc X 1000 shares etc.... and get only 0.00065 btc x 1000 shares etc... assuming btc price went up.  So here... even though i lose btc... i still make profit right because the btc price is higher?  Someone said you are not suppose to look at the usd rate... you look at the price of the altcoin in terms of btc.  If that is true, and btc goes up, then how are you suppose make money on altcoin if it goes up not a lot then?  I thought if you buy an altcoin at 1 dollar and it doubles to 2 doubles, you double your money right?  But if bitcoin actually triples up from that moment you bought the altcoin... to the moment you sold your altcoin for btc... you are down money?  Can someone explain this?

Yes off course it is the time of trading. If you can more and more bitcoins now and also some good altcoins and keep them for a right time when the rate is high then you can sale with a good priced and can earn enough profit.

investing in property can give you a profit of about 6-20%, investing in gold can give you a 15-18% profit, and investing in securities shares with a 20-30% profit. bitcoin and altcoin offer more than that, you can make a 300% -400% profit, even more. Based on that, what makes you hesitate to trade cryptocurrency?
