v0.5-59 Linux GPU&CPU client

Changelog:
- Autofans preview release, can be used with manual configuration in autofan.conf
- Ccminer wildkeccak scratchpad will be removed if the pool is changed
- cpuminer-opt 3.8.8.1 "Refresh" (modified by HiveOS team to get more accuracy temperature + small trick for fix zero temperature after mining during several hours + try network issue fix)

Remarks:
This a preview release of autofans, you can create /hive-config/autofan.conf file and put the values there:
# Target GPU temperature
DEF_TARGET_TEMP=
# Minimal fan speed
DEF_MIN_FAN=30
# Stop mining at critical temp
DEF_CRITICAL_TEMP=85
# Set to 1 to disable AMD fan control
DEF_NO_AMD=0

Web control of autofans settings will be available in Hive 2.0 which is coming soon.
If you planned use auftofan with AMD you must disable this function in miner (Claymore for example)
wow thats a great update, thank you devs.
looking forward for 2.0 release

In one of my two rigs the hashrate of my cards is wildly fluctuating from 8 -> 30. Anyone have this issue and know how to to fix it?

RX580 and Asus z270-a. I've already tried reinstalling and tweaking here and there.

Common problem wrong BIOS settings. Check and set Gen2 for x16 and x1 PCIE slots

Autofans, config misspelling ...  post with version announce and Telegram channel announce was already edited

Correct settings of autofans config file (which you can create at /hive-config/autofan.conf) are:
Code:
# Target GPU temperature
TARGET_TEMP=
# Minimal fan speed
MIN_FAN=30
# Stop mining at critical temp
CRITICAL_TEMP=85
# Set to 1 to disable AMD fan control
NO_AMD=0
remove "DEF_" prefix if you created config file. This variables internal only used by script and reserved for future releases.

I am new to HiveOS and Mining , I heard lot of positive feedback so i want to install HiveOS instead of windows 10.

I tried to research instructions , most of them talk about installing it on USB drive, however i have windows installed on SSD , and i want to replace it with Hive OS or dual boot it ideally.  If someone can point me in right direction , it will help.

Secondly , when i created a rig in dashboard, It gives me bunch of wallet options on web UI , what are these wallets - are these the wallet address of coins i will be mining ? How do i select which coin , as no option to select coin name , just the algorithm.

In general HiveOS is so diffrent from windows, and i was unable to browse easily , couldnt even find  a notepad , nor could start mining as a sample even.   I searched youtube for step by step guide, but did not find .

I know these all are silly questions , but if anyone would be able to help  me, it wl be great.

Hello guys, I have 2 machines with HiveOS (after the last windows update debacle I made the jump). I have two machines

  • 6 RX570 on a H81 BTC 2.0
  • 6 RX580 on a Asus Z270-a

For some reason the 6 RX580 machine cards are all fluctuating from anywhere between 8 and 30~ MH/s. I've tried

  • Reinstalling HiveOS
  • Running 4 cards to see if it's something to do with the number of cards
  • Switching Bios numbers to Gen 2, 3, Auto (all caused the machine to crash in under 5 minutes)

But have the same issues.  Strange thing is everything worked fine under windows. I only switched over due to the annoying last spring update and not wanting to deal with that again. Even stranger is I have a second mining machine with 6 cards but a H81 BTC 2.0 that is having no issues at all.

I m running 6 1080ti with ccminer , everything works fine except , the GPUs are showing 130-140W power each.   the total power usage around 800W (for 6 GPUs)

I tried overclocking power to 200 , no change...

Any ideas why the GPUs are not taking full power ?

Power Limit - it's not power usage from outlett. It's LIMIT to power usage. real power usage depends from algo power efficiency and may be lower than power limit
Which algo are you using ?

I m using Lyra2z to mine gincoin . If it uses only130-140 per gpu then it makes sense.   I m getting around 18-19 MH/s total... Around 3.2 per gpu, does that sound normal with a little bit overclocking

I tried the latest windows release on a rig with r9 cards and it won't load the xmr-stak wallet configuration on made on my account it loads the default with CPU mining only which also it doesn't send any stats to the hiveos dashboard

Lyra2z - it's energy efficient algo like cryptonight, so your power consumption it's almost real

-tt 55
-ttli 62
-fanmin 55

but i still have cards with this info in panel

why  hive does not control the temp?

miner is claymore

p.s: there is no fan control in AMD setting neither in tuning
