You're not actually trading coins directly between wallets on a coin exchange, once your deposit is credited to your account the balance exists as a database entry and is incremented/decremented based upon trading, deposits and withdrawals. Essentially your coins become virtual so the decimal point rules of the client itself become irrelevant at that point. An exchange could add as many decimal points as they want but most stick with 8 because that's the standard set by Bitcoin. The only time the 2 decimal point limitation would be an issue would be at the time you come to withdraw as the client won't allow you to send transactions with more than 2 decimal points anything in the remaining 6 decimal spaces would be dust that you can't withdraw. For my experience it is not possible, if you you hit buy/sell you will get an error on cryptopia and it auto sets to 2 decimals.

I was just able to execute the following orders on cryptopia Buy 0.00000651 1195.84333637 0.0077849 4/12/2017 4:37:23 AM Buy 0.00000651 3188.54610288 0.02075744 7.89646045 ETN @ 0.00000652 BTC = 0.00005159 BTC total again i bought 7.89646045 ETN @ 0.00000652 BTC = 0.00005159 BTC total .00646045 + .00646045 = 0.0129209 ETN I am now able to spend this 0.0129209 ETN Is this not double spending?

Thanks for your explanation but it begs the question if I buy .115 ETN and buy again .115 ETN that creates .01 ETN a valid decimal place and amount able to send or rcve. How are the additional (6) decimal places created? Trades are not on the blockchain and as such not limited to the same rules, there could be any number of decemal places but as soon as you try to withdraw (move the coins onto the blockchain) you will be forced to obey its rules which will generally mean any value after the first 2 decemal places wont be transferable. The same thing happens with NEO which only operates on whole numbers.

Example; Someone puts 0.01ETN on an exchange. He sells that 0.01ETN to 10 people, now they each have 0.001ETN. They cant withdraw that ammount because its invalid on the blockchain but Cryptopia still have 0.01ETN (a valid amount). Eventually one of them buys the other 9 peoples 0.001ETN and now has 0.01ETN, he can now transfer that off the exchange because it is a valid amount. No coins were created or double spent etc. in that process, Cryptopia kept a ledger of who owns what out of the total pool and settled at the point of withdrawal, the number of decemal places is irrelevant up to this point as it is all happening off the blockchain.

ETN Miners,
Are others having problems with ETN deposits to Cryptopia showing up recently?
Are they doing some type of unmentioned ETN Deposit maintenance?
I've sent Cryptopia over 1,000,000 ETN but my last two deposits don't even show up as pending and they have over 400 confirmations when I check the blockchain. It's been 15? hours now and yesterday morning it took hours for deposits to show up now nothing at all.
Also, It would partly explain the quick rise in ETN price. Without any new deposits from miners they can't deposit and dump them, as usual, causing a price increase and also causing a supply shortage.

Wallet currently under maintenance, this only happened recently. They say it will be back up soon and transactions will go through when it is working again. Nothing to worry about.

They don't have it in their news section yet for whatever reason. They say everything is ok, just routine maintenance.

Same problem here, i sent 220 ETN a few hours ago and still doesn't show nothing in cryptopia. Both TX have hundreds of confirmations.

Thanks, Found it... Pretty much something you would never see unless you happened to be hovering over that tab? BTW: It's been close to 15 hours for me since my deposits didn't post. If it lasts 24 hours That means something 10 million coins from a days worth of mining are going to hit the exchange and get dumped in a short time period. The price should crash some as soon as Crytpia's ETN deposits show up in the miners wallets. This crash will give us a tiny idea how badly the price with crash when the ICO coins all hit the exchange. The nets total Hash Rate 171MH/s Daily profit estimated to: 10,915,398.49 ETN ($827,870.76) I'm guessing the crash down will hit HARD at first as all coins will show up at the same time allowing the miners to all put them on the market right away and last a few hours and not recover 100% that day.

I just noticed that ETN can be traded with BTC USDT NZDT LTC and DOGE is that new and possibly the reason why they blocked deposits while getting that setup?
