And it's $25 a day with current ETN price, which may go up soon... Damn, that is not fair! Are those miners already out there working?

Fake, IMHO. Unless the algo is forked.

Any thoughts about the decrease in CMC rank? I understand that the price of ETN followed the downtrend of all the coins but it also lost some places in rank and I cant find any explanation. It is against logit because ETN should have an increase in value with the GMSC attendance and the launch of mobile miner. I don't think that ETN to a lower point than this for this long time. I am a holder and I will keep on holding, even if it goes against my logic.

I'm in a similar position and until the mobile providers becomes a reality the price will continue to slide as there are better investments. We may get luck and the mobile miner goes viral but we are lacking places to spend ETN so that will also take time.

Does mining using a mobile phone make any sense? Is this app written for fun only? After a whole day of minning I had only about 1 ETN. It seems to me that it is rather a game of fun rather than earning ETN

It might not seem that much with current value but, for example, you would mine that much in my country and ETN would be 0.25 $ (a value that was reached this year) it would be enough to cover expenses for a mobile service that covers: unlimited min, and 5 GB net at 4g. If payment would be integrated to let me pay in ETN, it would make sense to let the app to run in the background and pay with my provider with ETN. It's like the mobile services won't cost me anything.

Anybody got their phone-mined coins to the actual wallet? Mine is still pending. Would love to test how's transactions working.

It's a game, if you compares the Electroneum app with Minergate app you will find the difference.

And it's $25 a day with current ETN price, which may go up soon... Damn, that is not fair! Are those miners already out there working? haven't you noticed a multiple increase in hashpower of cryptonight coins (monero, ETN, etc) in the last 2-3 months? the manufacturer has been mining the coin for months, and as the news came out about the fork decided to get rid of the bricks. Monero crossed off of the supported ASIC (due to the fact that they will soon be making changes to the algorithm). if ETN on the same modified algorithm does not pass, its mining will come to the end. and may be for ETN coin too will come to the end. buyers of ASICs, usually, not investors, will immediately dumping everything. accordingly, the supply of coins on the market will increase and the rate will collapse. it's barely holding up.

Hope ETN will also change their algo to become ASIC resistant, otherwise this coin is dead af. Damn ASIC miners are killing it for everybody... should go back to ETH again...

I hope somebody from ETN team sees these ASIC messages or that they are already aware of the ASIC threat. If they allow for only one day for ASICs to enter the market that will be a major setback for this coin. If they dont react at all its all dead, even for ICO investors cause their coin will be worth less than 1 cent.

It won't be dead, just difficult/impossible to mine with CPU and GPU. So it would only really be an issue for current miners. The project would go on of course, along with all their plans for it. Besides, they are likely to make the relevant changes, if it is in the best interest of ETN. So an algo change is a possibility in the future. No point speculating on what may or may not happen...lets just wait and see.

It is highly unlikely they will read anything here. Drop them an email. I am pretty sure they would already know about it. No need to panic just yet.

This is actually a good use case for such currency like Electroneum. If it could cover the cost of your phone plan just with mobile mining, it would attract a lot of users.
