I think it is not greedy if you are holding bitcoin. I think it is just a strategy and just being smart. If you buy bitcoin when the price is low and you hold it until its price goes up, then you can earn money, But it is still up to you on how long will you keep on holding your bitcoin. What I can only suggest is hold it untill you think that the price will still go up. Monitor the bitcoin trend and analyze its pattern.

For holding bitcoin is not greedy, for me, it is a smart strategy because I believe in bitcoin it can increase the value after years. If we invest in for a long period of years, their big chance to double or triple your profit. I believe in saying that Hell has three gates Lust, Anger, and Greed.

It's good to know when you should sell your bitcoins no need to be too greedy but you should also not be too much hasty in making your decisions because sometimes you should be patient with yours decisions.

Holding bitcoin for a time, its not mean that we do greedy, actually we are just doing investment and you also call that we are doing trading. If you are not hold your bitcoin then how could you earn from bitcoin? You should see the result, all holders of bitcoin are in profit and some people who have sold their bitcoin now they are sad becasue they do hasty.

I think it is a wise move to hold bitcoin, because of its value, Its like your funding for your own future thats not greedy but being wise to prepare for your future. It is an investment that makes profit for you, though Its price will go down but it never be to low to loss all your money to it.

Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

I dont think holding bitcoin is greediness. It is just that the holders are doing so well in planning in how they hold their coins to be able to earn a very nice profit and that is the reason why we are holding bitcoin to earn on our investments and that should not be considered as greediness.

greedy is relative, maybe if you hold your bitcoin, hold and hold and hope that the price of bitcoin will going up and going up again maybe you will greedy because you never satisfied with your result. and maybe greedy is like after you sell your coin and the price of that coin getting high you feel very regret because of that happen. ( you always your result is not enough)

never choose the thing that makes you face the risk that makes you fall into the abyss very deep. in handling bitcoin if you or how to handle it like holding bitcoi in the market that already high price. many who rate bitcoin so far about the price that circulated in the market that is free because the price is always increasing every week, the price always increases but you must be careful to overcome in that greed.

I am a bitcoin holder and for me holding bitcoin is not being greedy. It is not just holding but also my savings. "Holding" It is just one of our way to make our money more grow. Why greedy? Because we want to earn more money? If that is the reason, since all of us here want to earn money then we are all greedy here? No I don’t think so. We also hold our bitcoin since it is not very hard to do but a very risky thing since we cannot be so sure that bitcoin will rise easily.
If you’re not going to hold your bitcoin, what are you going to do with it? Spend it? I’d better save or spend it than spend it.

I don’t think it’s greedy at all. Look at the holders of the past who managed to hold from less then 1 k to now. New wealth created for so many people it’s great. How many people have become multi millionaires ...
How many have supplemented there income with another via bitcoin that matches there wage... so many

Holding can boast many benefits but of course as you mention this curse it is a risk with any investment right

Greedy? Seriously?  This conversation makes my head hurt. Smiley

Nothing wrong with holding bitcoin or any other coin, methinks.   Besides you can always give your profits away later if you really want to!

I believe greed has a moral consequence that needs to be assess, meaning is your act of holding bitcoin coming at the expense of others?

People save money, therefore hold money, to spend on things in the future. The concept of investing is built around the idea that a dollar invested is worth tomorrow than it is today. Is this greed? I don't think so.

I think greed needs to come with a negative consequence. What do you think?
i don't think soo. Saving doesn't count in greediness

In my opinion its not. bcoz everyone has their own strategy to earn from bitcoin so if someone is holding bitcoin for long period of time to gain maximum profit and they think that bitcoin price will go further up so I dont think its greedy.

Looking at the post-starter rankings, he should have understood the greedy word in the science of digital currencies like this crypto currency, as the holder has not been in greedy, because only the holder, not the seller at high prices then buy at a low price, which is more than just greedy to make new players panic come to sell, when certain points bitcoin new players purchased as well.

The most greedy are the big whales who play around with prices, sell a lot at the highest level, panic and then buy back at the highest level, this is only done by whale class wholesalers.
Not just on bitcoin also in altcoin.

Sole motto of any investment is desire of a man to earn profits with his savings/investments and other reason is to ensure safety of one's money.  Money should be withdrawn only when there is some danger of loss /fall in prices of the money invested in that particular item or otherwise one requires money for spending for his personal social physical medical or any other requirements.  There may be one more reason for withdrawing / selling investment if there is potential of higher rate of return in some other business/item then one will withdraw his investment from his current investment item and will invest in the other which he thinks / knows will be giving higher returns.

In the same way we shall treat with the investment in bitcoin.  As today we all expect that the price of bitcoin may rise further and we do not have any emergency requirement of extra funds for which we have to sell bitcoin then why shall we sell bitcoin.  Why not shall be keep it for long term because it will be giving us more and more returns.  So it is not greed ; it is prudence in the current economic circumstances.

I think this is not greedy but more likely to be patient, because when people hold bitcoin, it's a sign they want to get a better profit. the greedy are those who play the market, those who have big capital, make bitcoin instantly go up and then throw it away again and again.
