I will have to do some testing with this miner on AMD for a couple of days. If it proves to be stable then hopefully Nicehash will add it in their next edition of Nicehash Legacy Miner.  It will be very nice to have another algorithm that AMD is competitive with similar Nvidia GPUs, rather then being either noticeably better (Ethash, Cryptonight) or noticeably worse (almost everything else).

Radeon Pro Duo: 84.8MHs (42.4 + 42.4)
Fury X: 55MHs
Vega56: 47MHs (can be optimised further, just need some time and incentive)
RX 580: 39MHs
RX 480: 36MHs
R9 390: 32MHs
R9 380X: 26MHs
R9 280X: 26MHs

Impressive, certainly making my GPU looks bad!

GTX 1060 6Gb 26mhs
GTX 1070 8Gb 39mhs

Does it support Coinotron.com VTC pool?

Rx470 got 27mh using the "best.bat" to NH
Not enough to earn more than XMR to NH with 750h/s with same OC.

This miner mines for the developer as well under the covers.  That's why it only supports NiceHash.

What is the effective dev fee?  It doesn't say anywhere...

Agreed would be nice to know if the devfee is %2 or %10 I don't mind paying the fee if I know how much it is and it's reasonable

We have had a 6x Rx 480 8GB rig running this miner for about 40 hours now and it has been rock solid so far. There have been no crashes or errors, and the reject rate is 0.1% for 3 of the GPUs and 0% for the other 3 GPUs. The hashrate is between 33-34 mh/s for 5 of the GPUs and ~29.8 mh/s for the final GPU. That's all at stock settings with -I 23. Power consumption is very similar to mining equihash algorithm. When I get some time I will try to see if the hashrate can be increased while lowering the power consumption with some tweaking.

Very nice! I used this and was able to get 21-23 Mh/s on a MSI R9 380. Whereas every other miner has only put me in the 127 Kh range.  It was showing me mining btc making $50/yr. LOL! My question is, how do I get it to mine vert or xvg on nichehash? (yes--noob) I've scoured their website and I can find compatible pools but the miner does not work there. I would like to mine these coins and hodl the coins. Mining btc is not what I'm looking for.

Same here. It looks like it is not possible to keep what you mine but just auto-convert to BTC.

You are not mining BTC or altcoins then selling them for BTC. Nicehash is marketplace meaning buyers pay for your hash power in BTC then they can point that wherever they want.

Unfortunately. This miner looks good. Particularly for old cards. Actually strong BTC led low prices for alts. Buying alts with the BTC gained from this miner is only possibility then.

Any chance you can open mining to other pools?

Mining at nicehash is ok but would like to mine directly at other Lyra2rev2 pools. Thanks

Anonymous author violates the GPL and everyone is celebrating?! I reported this thread to a moderator and wrote a mail to mega.nz to remove this illegal software. Everyone should do the same.

You should sit back and relax. Take a look at the increase in hashrate this dev made on this algo for amd cards.

Just hoping he will consider opening his miner software to other pools.

Unfortunately nobody gives a fuck about GPL violations ;/
There are quite a few closed source miners on here that do exactly this and have always remained unsanctioned.

It doesn't take much effort to change the DNS or even reroute the nicehash IP so you can mine on any pool you wish.
It also doesn't take much effort to remove his fee https://github.com/Demion/nodevfee even easier to linux with netsed.
So yeah if you're pissed at him for violating GPL, violate him instead.

Is your card at default settings BIOS or was already modded to its best before trying this modded miner?
