my simple analytic about fake airdrop
1. they launch airdrop
2. the form of participant is simple just need address  or ask you to pm them
3. they will not publish the spreadsheet or publish just an address and most of them are the developer wallets.
4. they list it in exchange with high price
5. high price will attract buyers and developer of this fake airdrop success to sell their coin.

there is no harm with participating in an airdrop even if they are fake unless they're asking for some information you are not comfortable with giving it to them like wallet private key, phone number, email...etc

Why do you need to know if an airdrop is real or fake? Either of the two, nothing will happen to you. What you need to know is, if an airdrop is a scam or legit. To verify if an airdrop is legit, you should look for their whitepaper and team. But will you ever do that? Some airdrops have limited slots only. So you should go for the other way and that is to verify if an airdrop is scam. If they ask for your private key, then they are probably a scam.

Its a big job ro find real airdrop with at least some perspective. Important rule - use just special mail, wallets etc. for airdrops.

If they ask for money when an airdrop is supposed to be free.  If they have really weak info on their project.  It's pretty much all been explained already in the other posts but once you see it it's easy to tell which is real and which isn't.

Fake airdrops is a massive problem. It amazes me how so many of the people who "receive" the airdrops are n00b accounts...

Joining airdrops is a great way to win free coins. I prefer not to participate in the airdrops that require me to send money to them at the time of application. When completing your application forms, there is no problem if you don't write your private key and any password when you register.

There seems no way to determine the authenticity of this airdrop, what we can do is to cast only a few more airdrops so that there is always an airdrop that will allow us to get what we deserve

now almost all free distributions of coins are used only to collect information about crypto currency investors and traders. Almost always they do not bring much benefit to their recipients.

Why do you need to know if an airdrop is real or fake?

Why wouldn't you want to know? Why keep on participating in scams which in itself is helping these scams stay alive and helps create new ones time after time?

It is not easy to really know that an airdrop is fake. For me just know when its fake when I did not have airdrop tokens that i have received.

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake
Sometimes even if it's not fake but the airdrop has no value at all at the market. You can tell by the token name, the one that serious usually won't use other project name and they will create their own brand with real team and whitepaper, not just a few paragraphs of word.

There is no fixed way to judge whether a airdrop is true or false, and the usual way is to see the activity of Dev, such as twitter, and whether there is a strong community Smiley Smiley

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake

Airdrops are gifts from ICOs, gifts have no interest or any back payment, so you can know fake airdrops from the rest if that airdrop is requiring you to donate any amount. Requiring, meaning mandatory, some airdrops are requiring to donate to be able to receive their tokens, others are not requiring it and it is up to you if you want to donate to them.. so i guess it is not a fake one.

Fake projects or airdrops often managed or started by Newbie or Junior Members. Good projects are mostly managed by higher ranked members of this forum that's one of the indicators that how to spot fake or legitimate projects or airdrops.

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake

We can't really say if the airdrop is real or scam. And it doesn't even matter if it is a scam, just joined airdrop because you're not going to loose anything, we don't spend much of our time earning their coin/token so there is nothing to loose. And last and foremost it is free. So there is no need to be afraid at all.

actually that's not true.
you can click a phishing link and then you're fucked...

I'm always careful if someone announces an airdrop

I think that no.nazhno just do not get upset from the fact that you do not fall anything. All the same you have nothing to lose, and spend a minute of your time filling out the form I think you can afford
