Besides reading the actual white paper, I don't think you can really know unless you try. Why do you need to know though? You won't lose anything on an airdrop as you won't be needing to deposit something. It's an airdrop for a reason and not an ICO.

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake

We can't really say if the airdrop is real or scam. And it doesn't even matter if it is a scam, just joined airdrop because you're not going to loose anything, we don't spend much of our time earning their coin/token so there is nothing to loose. And last and foremost it is free. So there is no need to be afraid at all.

I think it’s easy to recognize if it’s a fake airdrop  and you should be careful  E-xxx token airdrop.
1)A real airdrop always has a detail introduction , a fake airdrop always very simple.
2)A real or good airdrop always has a official website.
3)A real airdrop never ask for your private key.

First read white paper and try to understand it. Don't give your private keys for anything. If any project ask your private keys definitely it will be scam.

the first i see to know that would be SCAM ICO is their thread, how looks like. if i see no design(low skill design) i assume that would be SCAM ICO.
Then i read the white paper, and see what they focus on. then see how about other people says on their airdrop thread

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake

Firstly, I always see who open that threat, official fresh-account or manage by old-account bounty manager. Then I look at their content, how detail and compact the information they give. Is there any weird thing. I usually observe first about 1-2 days before deciding to fill up the form. And be careful before fill the form. Now, I always consider if they show the spreadsheet publicly.

Often it can not be predicted. You have to go through your hunch, but I would not engage in such things with people you do not know at all. Of course you can do it yourself but it is very difficult.

you would be right if they give you time for read and understand the project, instead airdrop timings are often very limited so, wrongly, I keep registering for airdrops before to know what the project is. this is sad actually

Do you think that you can fill out all the forms for AIRDROP? If the data is created specifically for this purpose.

Hello guys am a newbie how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake

Just be careful buying into these. They are often fly-by-night projects set up by anonymous developers who just throw up a whitepaper overnight and airdrop a bunch of coins. It's all well and good if you get them for free. But usually what happens is the developers wait until the market has risen a bit, and then they dump all their coins on the investors. Then the project basically dies.

So I would treat them all with this in mind. They are much less likely to succeed in the long term than POW coins or well-run ICOs.

There is no real way to find if the project giving out airdrops is going to be legit or not. One can only do their own research and look at their whitepaper and the team behind the project to get an idea.

Airdrop means you can get some coins without invest your money, so I think you just need to try and you will know if it is fake, anyway, you will not too much loss if it is fake.

Well, it doesnt matter if you are going to receive those tokens for free, you should always be aware of the token or the project that you are going to be working for, so you should always try to read the whitepaper before joining some kind of bounties or campaigns, because it would be risky to join one and dont be paid for your hard work.
If their whitepaper seems shady, then dont join, because you are going to lose a lot of time and effort in there.

I think that those kind of threads should be posted in the other board of the forum in order to avoid those kind of spammy replies..
Of course that there is no way to find out if you are going to work on a scammy project if you dont read the whitepaper and pay attention to the replies that they get on their ANN, i would suggest you to follow those steps before joining a project if you dont want to be paid with $0 tokens once that the ico is finished.
be careful with this, those kind of projects are like a plague.
