I always advice newbies to first learn from those that have been trading in cryptocurrency before investing money into cryptocyrrency trading because the market is a volatile one and as such if care is not taking, you can loose your hard earned cash in a jiffy

There are numerous advice for a newbie in crypto especially one who is willing to start crypto investors. However, the two important advice which cannot be forgo ''knowledge in crypto and patience". Every newbie must take some time to study about crypto and how the market works at least to come to terms with the up and down movements of the prices of coins. Also, it requires patience to earn a good deal of profit in crypto.

Advice for the beginner: do not climb here if there is no persistence in your head and mind. The cryptocurrency topic is complex, then understanding still need, in addition to all what I said. You won't understand, you won't earn anything and you won't learn anything.

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers
Thats good decision dude, if you still newbie, you should be sharing and learn from the expert. From my experience, i think you should adding into BTC and ETH, no offense to the others coin. But if you look the market right now, all the prices of altcoins is getting worse day per day, but if you still believe in cryptocurrency's world there's nothing wrong if you invest in BTC or ETH. Because BTC is the main coins in cryptocurrency's world and ETH is the main platform of ICOs.
But the goods way for newbie is just learn first until you've already have skill and knowledge about cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency is very complex, so if you are just only desperate then you will not earn anything.

Try your best to participate a few tech-focused projects. Most of the projects are very friendly during their beginning stage, and being pro-active and contribute can help you in building your crypto connection.

The risk level is very high if you invest in any crypto-projects without knowing deeply about it's technology. Newbie should pay more attention in the understanding technology, which is what i am trying to do too Wink

There are really a lot of scams out there in the market. Be careful. Alway check their website, their communities, are they active on social media etc. Also, do you believe in their project etc. For example, I follow closely SciDex. They are creating a new type of smart contract generator for complex transactions. So that even regular businesses that need legally binding contracts can be on the blockchain.

For anyone who is a beginner and doesn't know what to add to your shopping cart. I do this: 50% of the funds are allocated for the purchase of coins from the first ten by capitalization, 30% of the funds are allocated, selectively, for coins from the first 50 by capitalization, 10% for new coins and 10% for the purchase of coins in the ICO.

For me, what you have is good enough to maintain and do not be complacent to get a profit opportunity by focusing on the one coin you have, when the price has gone up and shows profits, do not hesitate to sell.

Some of the newbies has the tendency to go buy some coins without researching it first and they're also the ones who easily panick when the crypto market go down or when the price of the coins they are holding suffers a significant decline. Whether you are into trading or not, you should try educate yourself first on cryptocurrencies to avoid or lessen some losses in the future.
