So what is doog his issue atm that he can't reopen just-dice?

Probably because he doesn't want to be held accountable for $50 million and there's new Canadian regulations.

...because he is enjoying having downtime from running, operating, administrating, securing et cetera a 24/7 casino?

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.

No because he has been smart and smelled he was taking a risk of being charged in Canada

It will definitely be more profitable for dooglus to start over again in a new country again, specially considering the number of scams happening every other day.

While this is all true, he pretty much just used it as an excuse to close shop. He stated multiple times that if given reason to close down, he will because he was tired of running it.

With all those scams it really would be best if dooglus just comes back. Sure, PD may be trusted, I guess, but a monopoly never is good. We need competition. And every new site is inherently untrustworthy. They really need to build up a positive reputation and trust first!

Hey KoS, I'll be opening something soon. Give me 2 weeks. Maybe more. Also, with that kind of coin, you should be able to fund your idea that you PM'd to me some time ago.

Rddcoin? Not exactly. I'll be working with one of those alt-coin to bitcoin exchange thingies. So I can only indirectly support whatever alts they have. You can always "convert" your rddcoins to bitcoins using any exchange that supports them. Currently they support LTC, DOGE, DRK, PPC and VTC with more added in the future.

Yes, there will be an invest feature, but I'll have to work on some details about how it works. I will create my own thread about it.

My initial reaction to all these recent events, and my own confidence (or lack of) in hot wallets, initially, I was going to operate it with a 24~48 delay on all withdrawals, as the entire site will be a giant cold wallet. But that's too inconvenient. You understand, I don't want to give the responsibility of holding the coins to anyone else, even though I'm not going to run, but I do have to sleep, eat, and live a normal life. At the same time, I'm a corporate officer in a small to medium sized brick and mortar enterprise; I have a day job. Making clothes. (I'll do another venture with bitcoin themed t-shirts, maybe. But those things are not a good idea to wear when you go to the airport.)

There might be a hot wallet with 1 BTC, for example. Then an online wallet secured behind two hardware routers going through a VPN which I physically control. And a cold wallet that is locked away and air gapped.

Also, my game is going to be different. Deposits and investments are instant, but divesting will wait about a minute. I mean, deposits require 1 confirmation. Much easier to implement than using code to determine transaction confidence or attempts on double-spends for zero-conf.

I'm not saying more until it's ready as things may change. You'll just have to play when it's live to see what I'm talking about.

And then, one day, in the future, I'll take a 1 week vacation. (Don't worry, I'll assign a dead man's switch to another trusted person, in case I get hit by a bus, so they get the cold wallet private keys.)

Well as long as its not inputs.io
No making an instant fast transfer exchange with a bitarena for people to battle each other then getting hit by a bus and running with coins ^^
(Did like the speed at which transactions were processed before it well broke lol)
