Now the price of MAGNET is at the bottom of the historical price. Let's get everyone to buy it together. Unity is the strength.
I saw the same thing and scooped another MN. When there is blood in the streets, there is opportunity gentlemen (and ladies). Yup, purchased another MN as well, this project is legitimately undervalued right now!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Seems that MAG is not going to Moon. Instant dump.
A good coin requires community, dev team, utility, and ability to follow their roadmap. It's software in a sense. If you want quick money, Bitmex is great. This coin has the respect of Sr. members here, and that says a lot. Sorry if you bought at the top. Good luck mooning, we'll see ya there my friend. Agree with this, saw MAG after researching a lot of masternode based projects and am very excited about running a MAG MN. With active community and devs making the right moves and some long term progress, I'm expecting MAG to do quite well. I don't expect it to 'moon' I expect it to grow over time, you bought at the top and the entire market corrected into a bear market, be patient and HODL... HODL doesn't work anymore and those who say HODL dump the coin first. The problem with most masternode crypto is too much masternode reward. It seems like this should buy people in. get them to mine the coin and set up masternodes. Great. Then depending on the coin the reward usually grows with time so does the number of masternodes. The coin is mooning then unfortunately miners and masternode owners start taking the profit. All one by one dump the coin slowly bringing the price down. The coins seems less and less profitable so new investors skip it for a sake of other profitable coin. Price falls even further. Less people mine it, difficulty and hashrate drop. More rewards for masternode owner when other investors start selling masternodes so more dump and prices even lower. I have seen it so many times, countless. Mun, Tune, DSR, DIN, DNR, BWK, even Solaris which I love as the most stable of them all. I think the solution is a healthy balance between the cost of the masternode and rewards, maybe automated reward system depending on the current coin market? Too many coins dumped - lower rewards? That would at least stabilise the prices long term. Edit: This is the reason I don't own any masternode yet. Trading brings me a lot more and I don't believe in this masternode system, it is completely wrong at the moment. I will wait for a perfected balanced masternode coin to invest in. HODL doesn't work anymore? Curious statement that's blatantly wrong, also, I haven't dumped I, like I said, just bought into MAG for the first time last week. I agree with you that the masternode projects have too big of rewards, they should be lower and help sustain the project and protect from profit takers when the market is weak. That being said, when the market is strong you will want those masternode payouts and it does incentive people to HODL for their masternode collateral and incentives traders like me to buy...when it's weak like right now it's easy to beat up on the current system. So I say again HODL HODL HODL (or don't I don't give a shit)

Hey Mag Team, I've helped a few people who pinged me in Discord or here on the forums, but I think one small change would go a long way to help newbies in their first MN setup. https://i.imgur.com/hlppVF9.pngThis pause has had some folks scratching their head, although if you understand what is happening then it makes sense the chain is syncing. I'll pass along more feedback as I talk to more new MN holders. Thanks for the great project.

Screenshot here https://imgur.com/a/diVigAny other ideas? MN dreams are withering away. Can't use the cool new app. I'll offer a 100 coin bounty to solve this for us users reporting it MAG of course Before executing ./magnetd, try this: sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool automake autotools-dev autoconf pkg-config libssl-dev libgmp3-dev libevent-dev bsdmainutils sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev sudo apt-get install unrar sudo apt-get upgrade Line by line. If you are under root, you can skip "sudo" at each line. My friend, thank you from the bottom of my over worked heart. This step has been such a bummer, mining all 10k only to be stopped by configuration. The updates you advised got me through my issues, nothing Magnet related. Can you PM me an address and I'd love to send you 100 MAG or something! This FIXED my issue. Thank you community!! Sent man, 100 MAG. https://imgur.com/a/TvLVxKeep being good for the community, again thanks

ive setuped my first magnet node, installing worked fine for me but after couple of hours i noticed that my masternode disappeared in masternode list. i started it again through wallet and it worked again. what could be a reason for disappearing in the list? P.S. i have staking = 0
I tryed both staking = 0 and staking = 1, have still the same issue after an hour my node get "EXPIRED" status, what cause that? any help please.. Same issue here... checking on http://magnetwork.io/checkmn/ I can see my masternode is not there. I started again from wallet and then it appears but says active from last start input. Anyone can help us please?

There's no reply yet from the support team there so I can't provide much information regarding your concern. My advice is for you to go in their Discord channel and voice out the error that you got there. They'll definitely help you there once they become online. My friend and I are just starting our MN today. Will try to set it up now and hopefully, will not get any problem from it. This isn't my first time setting up a MN so this should work smoothly.

When you and others decide to stop dumping it. I think it reached the bottom now like many of the altcoins so unless it is to die it will go up now.

I agree, the project is underestimated.... But will it be possible to change the situation over time?

yes since late last year magnet has been exploited by big miners who institute their own parameters and block masternode payments, if your running a masternode right now the rewards are decreased dramatically because of this...the developers/community have been searching for a fix but it shows that their are miners out there with big wallets who are interested in this coin and are willing to expend alot of resources to get alot of MAG.....alot of people on discord have been praising this but on the contrary it could be bad for the market in the future.. overall Mag is still a good masternode coin with committed development and long term holders, the price action really represents an overall bear trend in masternode coins in general plus the constant exploit of these miners. in price relative to bitcoin i think and hope 1300-1500 sats is the floor

If some miners decide to stop mining it because it seems not really profitable, difficulty and global hashrate will drop meaning it will be more profitable to those big wallet miners who will jump in again and dump again. The price will drop further if you smaller miners decide to stop and move on to another coin.

Yup good point, we will have to see how it pans out, its been a shared frustration between all the masternode operators yet total masternode count seems to be increasing, but at this point it almost makes more sense to stake if you have multiple masternodes.

The cost of the coin is constantly falling because of the users of Nicehash. They are constantly pouring out the coins on the exchange to recoup the cost of purchasing capacity at Nicehash, thereby omitting the course. Approximately in the middle of summer block-halving will come, the complexity of the network will grow - this will be one of the factors of the price increase mag. In addition (by roadmap), in May there will be several new exchanges, if they are larger than crex, we will get more investors.
