This project looks interesting. I am quite keen on getting a masternode for this coin. Shall work out my strategy for the same. Masternodes are the go strategy for the future.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT in case You missed it on the last page.

We have now fixed all issues with PoW and you will need to update to version 1.2 to be able to resume mining both PoW and PoS at block 18000.

Please make sure you download the latest version 1.2 (links on ANN post) or compile from latest source on Github to pick up.

The PoW mining will resume at block 18000 for those on version 1.2 and the chain will remain backward compatible up to the first PoW block @18000 so be sure to update by then.

Block 18000 happens in around 48 hours time.

You can verify that the correct version is running with RPC getinfo command on daemon or from the about or debug window on the wallet UI (qt).

Make sure it shows : v1.2.0.0-61403

What are the long term goals of Magnet? Is there anywhere a roadmap or a whitepaper that i can read? The decision for X11 is great.

No roadmap or whitepaper yet. There will be one available in time when everything for a stable start is settled and we can formulate our plans better.
Long term goals are to get our miners on solar power and research into the field, development on the wallet itself. This is all we can say right now without revealing too much.
We are just starting and laying down groundwork what can be done. We want to grow a bit before roadmap/whitepaper so we wont limit ourselves with our understanding of what is truly possible here.

One thing that is for certain - we are here for the long run.

.rar and .zip files are still often used because big portion of the world is not using 10mbits+ and another issue is browsers blocking downloaded executables files.

We tried downloading and decompressing on different computers and it all worked fine.


P.S. remembered someone posting an issue earlier with wallets files having trojan inside them.
Most of the virus detectors and firewalls identify cryptowallets as malware. Only solution here is to turn the firewall/malware programs off.

yep ty, yes it was my fault, total comander wasnt able to open it correctly , when i opened it directly with winrar it worked...

explorer will catch up eventually. It uses RPC getmininginfo netmhashps command which will be more accurate than a single pool on the long run.
