We're going to see a period of sustained growth over two to three weeks building to the $1500-2000 range, followed by massive rally to around $6000, stabilizing medium term to around $4000-4500.
I think nobody takes any profit from these kind of green field speculation. |

I think btc will hit $8k this year. And a close above $1k will happen in the next 1-2 months. Most of members of this forum agree on this bitcoin is going to touch again 1000$ in next few weeks but I think all are rumors no one can say any thing surely |

Is this is just speculation or you would like to substantiate your claims..? Because There is not much happening around which will raise the price to that level although i'm quite optimistic about btc hitting 1k$ mark again I would love to see that happening as much as you do but only time will tell. |

but, for sure, nothing is guaranteed.
Would you like to explain technical aspect..? its not rumour its just speculation . we want to see that and just optimistic about that I would love to see some more logic behind the claims... like what do you think is going to effect the price which will take it to 1k$ mark. |

I think its great news that Jimmy Wales/wikipedia is experimenting with bitcoin, and I reckon wikipedia will eventually embrace bitcoin, possibly this year.
Also, bitcoin atms are popping up all over the place. Which is helping to increase public interest. And, I expect to see floods of people lining up and panic buying bitcoin this year once bitcoin starts hitting new highs.
Hmm Bitcoin ATM project is grt and It is still shaping up and surely will turn few eyes towards bitcoin , its very convenient to use that kind of service..! so I agree with you on this one. But when you talk about Jimmy he did an experiment with bitcoin and sadly turned it down , so not as good news from his side as many were expecting..! but maybe someday... he already received around 22BTC and understood the power of btc. |

wikipedia will have to embrace bitcoin or some other crypto eventually....
I can imagine a time when every wiki page will have a donate QR code.
Also, there are wild cards which we dont know about yet. The old financial system is breaking down, and all govts are insolvent and printing money. I expect more political and financial choas coming, which will be very bullish for bitcoin, and could push bitcoin above $1k very easily......
I read the Jimmy's full conversation on reddit and and found that he is interested in bitcoins but still trying to understand the concept , he has so many questions like every newbie has about bitcoins, and he's lil afraid of having btc donations on wiki as of now, maybe he's trying to understand the Protocol and may be in few weeks months will suggest wikimedia foundation to use BTC . lets see how it goes. |

I think for a few weeks the price wil be stable, maybe even dip a little. However, once all the Mt Gox and similar stories dies down, and more news about merchants adding bitpay (come on Amazon and ebay!!) I think the price will have another exponential spike. IMHO it will be a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs but settle in the region of $5000 by the end of 2014.
