As I see it, these are the waves of hype that push BTC price forward. News agencies has been working with this BTC story for years already.

In my opinion, because bitcoin is the first crypto coin. Everyone has heard about it and everyone knows it, some companies accept it as payment for services.

In my opinion because Bitcoin is most popular one, and also the supply only 21 million and circulating supply now only about 17 million. In coinmarketcap we can see 50% of crypto market is Bitcoin dominance that mean Bitcoin still most popular coin.
