Why people says gold is better?

Bitcoin is beneficial that gold in terms of investment and returns safety and control. But still many peoples prefer gold, it is due to traditional thinking they have. Investment in gold is conventional way of investment and going further for next many years, because of its secure returns. Still now many peoples have doubt about security of bitcoin and hence they prefer gold rather than it.

Gold is a more reliable asset. You can't help but agree with the fact that gold does not lose its value for millennia. It is a reliable asset. Bitcoin is a novelty. We don't know what will happen in the future. Bitcoin pumped a large amount of speculative capital. This makes it very risky.

True but it will depend on why you want to do with your money, if your aim is to make a lot of money and fast bitcoin seems like a better option than gold however if what you want is to preserve the value of your money it is a better idea to hold gold instead.

Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket,restaurants and some institutions.But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?

A lot of people are not convinced of Bitcoin because they are scared. This is due to the ancient way of thinking, there is a barrier in their brains that they can not overcome. They prefer traditional methods of payment.

Gold has intrinsic value. It's a good thing to have, silver as well. I have about thirty ounces of both. Gold has been trading sideways for a bit but I think it's a good idea to have. I plan on holding it for twenty years. No taxes to pay when buying gold. I know Bitcoin is the God here but not much diversification is talked about here. Stocks, real estate, gold and silver. That's what I do. I've survived dips and crashes by not panicking although I tend not to sell at the top. Bitcoin I'm doing differently I'm taking some profit. Gold is good. Everyone should have some.

Because they are old school. Also because gold's price is not volatile compare to bitcoin. Also gold because gold is physical, they can hold it compare to crypto currencies that is digital or virtual money. But my opinion is crypto currencies are much better than gold, in terms of investment.

It is true that the gold is better than bitcoin. The price of the gold is very stable while the price of the bitcoin is too volatile. Many people are still want to have gold than bitcoins.

Once again, the purpose of gold is different from that of Bitcoin. Gold is not meant to increase our investments or to give good returns. It is a medium to store our wealth and protect it from depreciation. But Bitcoin is an investment asset which may or may not give good returns at regular intervals. One more difference is that Bitcoin is suitable for all types of investors, while gold is preferable to the more well off.

I think people say that gold is better because it is more stable, and asides from having a stable price that increases in time, it also has a big value in the market, you can never lose if you choose gold and that is for sure, compared to cryptocurrencies that are so unstable.

I think people say that gold is better because it is more stable, and asides from having a stable price that increases in time, it also has a big value in the market, you can never lose if you choose gold and that is for sure, compared to cryptocurrencies that are so unstable.

and when you say gold the standard of it are really good than this cryptocurrency and more people are wanted to have this cause the value of gold in the market are more high and most trust than digital currencies.

Gold is forever. If we have gold we can sell it anywhere thru pawnshops or you may go directly to your central bank list and change it directly to fiat anytime. We cannot say bitcoin is forever specially that the price is fluctuating and it will always depend on the internet in which if internet will gone so the bitcoin will gone too like in event of a world war III in which a nuclear war that have capability to destroy everything including the internet but gold can be use anytime and anywhere.

Actually I thought it's diamonds that are forever.  If you look at gold and Bitcoin as a store of value then gold has many advantages.

1) Its less risky
2) Its more stable
3) works when you don't have internet access
4) in the unlikely event of a power grid failure, gold is still accessible.
5) don't have to worry about sending to the wrong address and losing it into oblivion
6) It can be used by people who are not tech savy, although Bitcoin has become a little better in this regard lately
7) you can hold it in your hand- seriously have you ever held a 1oz gold coin...  It's a pretty cool feeling.

Gold is a good currency back then where people are trading it for the things they need, and some are still doing it right now. So maybe people will still does not have a clue about Bitcoin because it's new.

Gold has always been there since the beginning. It is the measure of your wealth back in the days. There were some people who will do anything just to get gold.and not only that. Gold can be used in diffetent ways.just like in food, decorations, jewelries, etc. It's better and useful many ways. It can be traded too. You can also buy some things using gold. So basically, this world is not complete without gold. However. So for me, gold is better in so many ways.it's only my opinion. And I know you have your own opinion too.
