Because gold has a real shape unlike bitcoin. Gold also increases in price every year. Gold has become a precious thing for a long time and is a good thing.
You are right, we can touch it and use it in our everyday life and at the same time if we need money we can send it to pawh shop if we will need an instant money. And as the years passed value of gold keeps increasing. Unlike bitcoin that is untouchable and have unstable price. |

Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket,restaurants and some institutions.But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?
Because, the system set for gold trading, weighing and tracking is pure. It is very difficult to steal it, get away from fake gold, or damage metal. Bitcoin is also difficult to corrupt, because encrypted systems and complicated algorithms, but the infrastructure to ensure its safety is not yet available. |

Because no one will pay their bill with gold also it is very unusual to pay bills with gold rather than bitcoin. And why people choose gold I think because of its stsble value and if it change it is going higher not to lower.

in my opinion it lies in its function. bitcoin is made for the transaction system, facilitate payment, remittance. while gold is formed for decoration. as objects of beauty, and for a real asset. so bitcoin and gold have a significant difference. can not be considered the same dapa its function. besides gold does not have a big risk than bitcoin.

My speculation, maybe they do not know bitcoin or do not know how to use bitcoin, when in fact they admit that bitcoin is better than gold.
I think its because they are more expose to gold than bitcoin and they have more knowledge about it. Also being a gold holder will give you an answer that it is better than bitcoin. As a bitcoin user, yes we belive that bitcoin is better than gold as we used it and it helps us a lot financially for our everyday life. |

Well the reason I see in this thread is that people think gold is better because the future about selling it is secure and surely expensive not unlike bitcoin allegedly will end somewhat 2020 , and it trigger most of us since the chances of earnings will be shorten and I hope some group of people might save this. |

A lot of people still prefer gold over bitcoin because gold has proven its worth over 100 years already and its price is stable. Unlike bitcoin, it keeps on fluctuating. But you can't earn huge profit in a short period of time when you invest in gold. |

Bitcoin and gold has the same value. People who do not use bitcoin or none of the system didn't know the benefits and important of the bitcoin that's why they say that gold is better than this. But actually,

I think that they chose gold than bitcoin because gold is tangible, it is not can only use as a payment but also it can be use to make a accessories while bitcoin cant. And also bitcoin is new and only limited people are knew it. |

Gold has high liquidity and has an intrinsic value while bitcoin--although similarly has a limited supply--has no inherent value. The price is only due to people believing it will be used/valued more in the future. Just my 2 cents worth.

Looking at the past when many people were believing that gold is universally acceptable asset and stable in the price that I think was the reason why many people became very attached with gold. Now in the modern time people are saving their money into investment and they are earning good amount on this investment. Bitcoin has created an avenue for everyone to earn just by having bitcoin in their wallet.
