@Cartman

any AuxPOW enabled coins on SHA256?

Devcoin & Namecoin.

So you're saying any SHA can be mined in combo with Devcoin & Namecoin?

Blockspeed does not matter?

That's right. The diff on them is reeeealy high but you'll eventually find blocks. I've found 4 int he past month with xpool.ca running around ~20+ Th/s. No name coin yet.

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

@crackfoo
TQ

4 MultiAlgo
BLAKE (the blake coin pool)
yeSCRYPT (ltc/doge/sys/taco/via pool)
Skein (Digi-or-Myriad pools)
SHA (btc/name/dev/uno/ix/io pool)

r= 0.1 .... (forever -OR- some progressive %-increase to maintain a 0.25% rate of inflation)
blockspeed = 30 sec.

MultiAlgo***alt picks

x11 (drk-or-start-or-smart-or-karma so only get 1 at a time pools, no?)
so merge is really just DRK only option until merge mineable x11s

Myriad-GRS ... my guess is DMD will fork the merge in later as there reward drops to near nothing

...............................
or if you want crazy
6 algos 10sec
no solve skip (50sec to recal diff)

AuXPoW any major network = happy
AuXPoW KGW Scrypt === cool
multi-algo w/ AuXPoW ===== over the moon Smiley

if you find a working POS/POW hybrid I can live with it
(but the only stable systems not requiring weekly forks seem to be NOVA and PP)
my guess they only float because they got all that 2013 mad $unnyking$ money to keep it going

my opinion is stakes are complicated, keep it simple, this is too be a mass consumer coin, they have a tough time typing so don't bugger them up with 'walletpassphrase mylittlePoNy 7337' jargon.

I for one have no idea as to what the straw poll is asking so I declined to answer.  The auxpow sounds great.  Just pick one that will be around for a long time and secures the network :}

The only normal hybrid system PoS/PoW who now has it is a diamond.
 At coins like NVC and PPC number coins in the system is not limited.
There may be at least one billion coins. Many people do not realize this and therefore buy NVC and PPC  Smiley
When I talked about the choice of X11 + PoS in a ratio 50/50 I mean the diamond substrate.

Did you not read the question at the top?

Will be testing a GLC client with KGW and a few other fixes like openssl1.0.1j, newer boost etc If all goes well we can fork onto that and gradually bring GLC up to date, bit by bit.

I also have a Aux PoW KGW source that I might test as well but I doubt it will compile/run as its a bit of a mess.

If anyone would like to contribute any btc for my time, here's my tip jar:

EDIT: CONFIRMED KEYLOGGER IN LATEST 1.6 DOWNLOAD

https://i.imgur.com/owSqVOE.png

Advise not to run 1.6 in live environment until dev addresses the below findings AND updates github repo with 1.6 source code.

Was this compiled by a third party?

Virustotal picks up two signatures in 1.6 release

If your affected by this downloaded please follow the instructions below to remove, and continue using 1.5.3. I will let you know when it will be release there will be a countdown timer to stop this kinda stuff from happening.

Long story short, I was playing around /investing in the new twistercoin and the dev posted a new client, in a later post not the OP. Few posts later, someone quotes him said "well done blah blah bla bla" i come back to that page after going outside for a smoke and clicked the mega link not realising it was the quoted post not the devs one. The url was masked with a rogue url that you would only notice if you remember say the last few characters of the url key, or if you hover over the link you will see one ending in FM not TA

See here, don't click the second link!!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=966354.msg10711375#msg10711375 (has now been cleaned)

Contained keylogger

Some ass hat compiled another version of twistercoin with a key logger and posted it a few posts down and my AV did not pick it up. I no longer use this paid AV.... I haz better one now.

I'm an idiot and I fell for it, had to take the day off work to change passwords etc

Everyone remember to double check links posted in forums and don't do what I did.

Sorry

To see if your infected go to Appdata/roaming/ If there is a folder called dclogs you are infected with the keylogger, Then use the steps below

Step 1
http://thisisudax.org/downloads/JRT.exe

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
The tool will open and start scanning your system.
Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.

Step 2
https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/confirm

Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Go to Update tab and select Check for Updates. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Go to Scanner tab and select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

Step 3
http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner

Please download AdwCleaner from here and save it on your Desktop.

Right-click on adwcleaner.exe and select Run As Administrator to launch the application.
Now click on the Search tab.

Note: The log can also be located at C:\ >> AdwCleaner[XX].txt >> XX <-- Denotes the number of times the application has been ran, so in this should be something like R1.

Step 4
http://www.sur-la-toile.com/RogueKiller/

Download on the desktop RogueKiller
Quit all programs
Start RogueKiller.exe
Wait until Prescan has finished ...
Click on Scan.
Delete anything found

I was surprised by the people who use the installer for the wallet. It's not even the level of the school is kindergarten.
1. Download the compiled wallet.
2. Set it on the virtual machine. Provided that the exe file is not unpacked UniExtractor
3. Make the install. You copy all  files of the wallet and put on the usb device.
4. Run through the shortcut or bat file with the change of directory when loading blocks.
Of course, this procedure refer to the official version of the new wallet and not to the Experimental Programs containing a Trojan.
