Perhaps I shouldn't comment since I don't know more detail...but I remember reading somewhere of some serious problems with POS. Don't remember what it was but did make a mental note to avoid POS from what I read.

If securing the network is important I would look more at AuxPOW over POS....that or research POS in more detail to ensure it does not have some fundamental flaw.

For me personally POS would be the most financially beneficial...but we need to look beyond personal gain and do what is best for the coin.

if you really a fan of Globalcoin then you should first of all worried about the change code in the wallet. It is even you possible to search the developers who will are ready to transfer the wallet for  POS + AuxPOW code algo. While the network will not be protected from forks, no normal exchanges will not communicate with traders GLC

A pretty hefty holder myself. I'm looking into acquiring a CommunityCube and would also run a node on it. But I'm very busy/low on ca$h atm, so that may take a few weeks... I'll keep an eye on this page to see if I can collaborate in some way. You good people don't be shy to ask for help.

raise those funds and GLC hangs on for the next stage of crypto, this is a 2013 project, well established, and a shame to see slip under.

cheap basic funding is possible, keep the network up, the coin is on sustain stages and could rebound very nicely.

Why Globalcoin wallet not working? Says 0 active connection to network and Globalcoin blockchain does not load.

Revert to using the 1.5.3 client and manually specify these nodes in your globalcoin.conf file:

addnode=globalcoin.ddns.net
addnode=216.177.81.87
addnode=100.42.224.37

For optimal connections setup port forwarding within your router, allowing TCP traffic for Globalcoins port 55789.

It appears the 1.5.4 release is buggy. I've tested both 1.5.4 and 1.5.4.1 QT wallets, both crash when issued RPC commands.

I'm guessing this is why the remaining mining pools, exchanges and explorer are all still using the previous 1.5.3 version.

You may also need to setup port forwarding on your modem/router if you're having trouble syncing. Allowing TCP connections on port 55789 will allow the 1.5.3 client to find nodes.

I love those old coin they have soul! At least they were mined and you can form price by calculation of mining prices, it is not like ICO or IPO. I dont know what people find in those coins except fast gambling..We must return to good old days.
