So if this community has 1 person left who gives a shit, do this:

1.  Go to wmikrut.com, ask him nicely to add globalcoin as a pool, promise to keep hash on it all the time, and send him a small bounty to say thanks.

2. Go back to Cryptopia, send a message to Sa_daam through the help system. Tell him sorry, we screwed up. We're working on it. Promise him you'll put up a new permanent node, tell him that WMIkrut might add you, and offer a small bounty in Globalcoin to help Cryptopia through the pain.

3. If a new pool comes up, mine it.  If the exchange comes back, use it.

hard to tell how many people r left in community. it is why i offered to host stuff if people wanted but if there is such a low interest then there is no point in hosting anything

Pool plz
Pool for mining GLC http://xpool.net/,  Globalcoin will be in the top 5 leaders in terms of capitalization.

do you know who runs that pool? cuz some of the links are broken and unresponsive.

Can you elaborate? It works in Chrome...not so much in IE.

if you are very interested in following the dev work before the push request is made to the main globalcoin git, you can follow the dev work in the cryptounited github: https://github.com/CryptoUnited/GlobalCoin

edit: if you want a reference, we also did the last update work for (THC) hempcoin

edit: we have a full node syncing now for network support. i will post when it is online and you can add it to your config files. i will also put  pool up for GLC sometime this week

made push request from the cryptounited git to the official GLC git. currently compiling the updated wallets. you MUST update by APRIL 1st 2017 in order to stay on correct chain. will post download links when they all finish compiling (within the next 2 or so hours)

edit: ok. so all the windows and linux wallets have been compiled. i forgot the admin password to my OSX VM (woops) so i need to remake that whole thing so the OSX wallet wont be around until tomorrow.

testing connectivity with the new node now. node info and wallet links will be up after connectivity tests succeed

EDIT EDIT:

Here are the links (except for OSX, that should be tomorrow):

https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/glc/globalcoin-win32.exe -windows 32 bit
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/glc/globalcoin-win64.exe -windows 64 bit
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/glc/globalcoin-deb32 - debian linux 32 bit
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/glc/globalcoin-deb64 - debian linux 64 bit

a few things:

i dont have any centos or .rpm based linux distros atm although i am working on setting one up. if someone has one and would like to see if those linux binaries that were compiled in a debian distro (ubuntu 16) work on something like centos7, and tell me if they do that would be awesome.

also the if the windows executables are being blocked from downloading due to serving straight executables instead of zipping them first let me know. i will zip them up and then put up the zipped version if this turns out to be the case

no idea as that account wasnt the one that asked me to fix up the coin. i have some other stuff coming out to help glc in the next few days. the BE and any exchanges that have the coin as a trading pair (like yobit) do need to be contacted and told to update before april 1st though
