Redcoin is already worth more on coins-e than GDC, GLX, GLC & QRK are on cryptsy, and is not far off KGC & ALF's.
Redcoin has moved up the list quite a bit

Great, can we have a cryptsy avatar?  Wink

Its just, even if how unintentional, general public usually doesnt agree something they see 'unfair'.
Thats why big corporates have board of directors etc, because usually one/few ppl might oversee something.

me and the other +500 guys who mined and are mining and trading this don't mind. he made it very VERY clear, the whole process was well executed and actually fun for once. i was tired of the ANNs anyway

It quite obvious what's goin on here. But keep playing us for fools

He's trying to say he instamined it with his friends and Cryptsy chat. It's no different than missing the ANN thread while you're sleeping. They just happened to be looking at the chat while you were looking at the boards.

I'm neutral either way on this coin, though, I just like the piggybank look. Seems fair enough to me. As a simple outside observer, however, I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of new release strategies soon that are going to push what you guys define as "fair."

Personally, an ANN thread, a few minutes to smoke a cig to let people set up their configs, then start your own miners is my opinion on fair launching a coin. Shake's a straight dude though and is silently behind a lot more than you guys realize

Well technically Cryptsy has 10k users so not really a small population. Additionally if folks don't like a coin they don't have to trade it...We add coins to provide a safe platform so as it was announced in chat and later on the forums doesn't make it an unfair release heck I mined pennies from the start I managed to get a whopping 10 cents. There are $6588.60 worth of pennies out there so 0.065886% mined so far?

I'm on your side. Pennies and Copper Bars are meant to work together. Add them both!  Actually, the pre-82 copper pennies would go great with shake's coin

ANNs are a norm. not a necessity, it is announced here because it is a popular forum. i think it's actuall better that coins are being launched from their own sites, makes for a cleaner launch and cleans up this forum too.

I doubt all 10k users were watching the chat box at the exact moment the coin was announced -- I use Cryptsy quit actively and I never saw it. I'm not saying he was being completely deceptive...I'm just saying it's obviously to his advantage that fewer people know about the initial launch...and that's exactly what happened. I didn't know about it for 2 days and I'm about as active as they come. ANN threads are pretty standard for a "fair" release in my opinion. If I just tell a couple of my buddies and a handful of people that stumble on my website it's basically a group premine. Maybe the dev doesn't get as much as a true premine...but for those left in the dark for the first 48 hours what's the difference?

It could have been a lot more shady...and I'm sure he didn't mean to purposely deceive -- I just found his defense pretty flimsy. We've all seen worse, that's for sure. Let's move on from the topic -- I have no intentions of mining pennies but I also have nothing against it -- just can't mine everything. If it gets listed on Cryptsy I won't be crying foul.

Why some coins trade for BTC while some others trade for LTC?

Is cryptsy admin decided on that or it's user's request?

it's already traded on BTER.com and it does have a pretty good value
Good to know I will look it over as an option.
