new error; sold some coins and now it says a balance is negative and can't withdraw
One or more of your accounts is in negative status. Please correct prior to any withdrawals.
This is an old error that happened long before the recent glitches, too. It was resolved after time for me. You can speed it up and buy up the negative amount(s) to zero if you have no time to wait for your withdrawel. It works. does the what was negative turn to an increase in balance later then?

I don't remember to be honest. I had autosell on at the time and didn't notice and didn't care except for wanting to cash out btc. Very small amounts of some lower level alt for me. In such a case, you need to know how much of a buy it would be, in any case I would open a ticket.

the WORST thing they could do is to shut it down.

I really like Cryptsy very much, I like what they offer, never let me down.
But at the moment there are too many issues with the exchange.
- it's slow - deposits don't show up or only after many hours (or days after submitting a ticket) - trades don't show up so they can't be canceled - if they can be canceled, coins take hours to show up again - tickets get closed but coins still missing
Right now the list of support tickets is only growing while you could use that time and energy to repair the exchange.
As a holder of a substantial amount of Cryptsy shares I advise: shutdown trading, only enable withdraws, fix the exchange, come back stronger than ever after 1-2 weeks. I won't go anywhere.
Right now, on the largest Dutch forum where we have a nice growing userbase, Cryptsy is called a "disaster". That's the opinion of people who are using Cryptsy for the first time. Not the best way to make a first impression.
I repeat: I really support you guys, I like the support and service you offer but right now it's better to shutdown and fix it.
cryptsy is the only choice most of us have. If you and your Dutch forum don't like it, just don't use it. Use some Dutch exchange... ooo, you don't have it. So stop crying and let them do their job. They will sort everything out.

Cryptsy should add United Scrypt Coin (USC) as it is actually pretty innovative being that it is the first and currently only merged mineable scrypt coin that can be mined with essentially any coin as several tests have shown

They should, in fact, reduce the coins they are trading and make sure never to add USC, or any other shitcoin out there that noone needs so that the exchange actually works for once.

You do understand that currently you can mine most if not all of the "shitcoins" on crypsty at the same time as you can mine USC because it has merged mining capabilities, in fact you can even do it the reverse way

Might as well mine ixcoins. Since when was merged mining capability a value in itself?

Merged mining destroyed the value of that coin.

XenCoin (XNC/LTC) has been delisted on Cryptsy. Why? How to withdraw my XNC money?
I also had some coins there. Still no answer? @Cryptsy, Any news? Where is XNC?!

Yeah, this happened to my LTC balance sometime today, seeing I haven't deposited any LTC for over a week, I would think it's just a database corruption. Last time this kind of thing happened it was GME and it locked me out from doing any withdrawals for over a week as Cryptsy were really slow to deal with the support ticket. I shudder to think what it's going to be like this time. A negative balance should never occur, it's just their bad software causing the problem.

Bad management of Crypsty , maybe this it will be their doom. How can you leave the site unattended and go to a BTC conference, this reflects poor on the owner.

I have no idea what will make Cryptsy work again, but if it means disabling the trading APIs, or disabling autosell, or whatever it takes, please concentrate on getting the most basic functions of the site stable. Many people's crypto investment strategies depend on your site functioning in a stable and predictable way.
If Cryptsy can't get their shit together, the market will create an alternative.

Important post from other thread: We apologize for the issues. I assure you vern has been working hard. I spoke with him throughout the day and he does not leave for Vegas until Monday Here is what has been going on the last 24-48 hours - We had the deposit program encounter some bad backlog of deposits overnight. Vern worked throughout the day to further optimize it and had great success. The deposit system still was working through some backlog so he worked to speed up the process. The program should be just about caught up now
- An error popped up during the day and trades were not being executed correctly. Which ended up being a slow down in our database communications due to database lag. That has also been resolved
- During the database fix a variety of deposits deposits were not transferred successfully. Vern has done a scan for these and most if not all should be corrected
- He also did a scan back on a variety of wallets for the past 30 days looking for any missing deposits
- A system wide audit is not being performed to correct any missing transactions due to the issues
- Further prepared for the hardware upgrades at the datacenter
- We continued training our new support staff who are getting much more efficient and are able to handle a larger variety of issues
We appreciate everyones patience with the issues and are doing out best to better handle the recent volume increase and further increases

It's bad software, the previous version of their site worked a lot faster. This new blue version has a better layout, but it's a dog. Full of bloated javascript, I am getting script timeouts often. There is no way they will be able to trade fiat with a buggy slow code, Fincen will want better quality.

Adding new coins is probably the last thing they have on their minds. It's kind of like discussing new curtains whilst the house is on fire.
