This is a natural process of market. Alt coins lost so many investors because they were really unstable for last couple of months. If bitcoin starts losing value people will return to alt coins. This is the natural cycle of crypto world.

It would bring chaos to all late comers, those purchasing at the point where it crash would suffer as much like 30% but it's unlikely to happen judging from current market trends, alts would follow as well by dropping more heavy bitcoin does as investor are exchanging back to bitcoins and sell cheap. Bitcoin has the most liquidity among digital currencies and that's why it attracts so much attention today and investors together with that.
But this is Altcoin discussion board and we all know when bitcoin is rising - alts are falling and oppositely. The most of us here are altcoin holders and for us it is great news that bitcoin's price is decreasing   for us it means that we are going to be in plus.

If you see the bitcoin's price decreasing you should not make any quick judgement as it may rise again. You should wait and observe it's price drop/rise carefully and if you see it is not going up and it keeps reducing maybe you should try investing in another altcoin which you think has potential(for eg:-ethereum) and wait. I think you should still hold the bitcoins as its value would most probably go up and alot of people will buy bitcoin to sell when the value goes up.

I would recommend to buy it, as Bitcoin is right now having a very unhealthy growth, so definitely it will fall down a bit in some time, buying and holding will be the right action, as sooner or later it will settle to a stable price for quite some time.

Only newbies and panic sellers will lose because they can not control their emotions when bitcoin is dropping they are thinking that bitcoin will recover. Big investors and have knowledge about bitcoin will mostly just hold it and they will buy more bitcoin at that time to get profit when bitcoin is stable
