Hi, the website states:

Zero’s transaction fees are literally close to zeroand by far cheaper than any other major cryptocurrency for example it’s fees are 10x times cheaper than bitcoin.

10x as cheap as bitcoin, is still expensive and nowhere near free or zero.
Are transactions costs actually 0 ? How does that impact the network usage..

That's actually a typo in the website. Good catch
Its 10.000 times cheaper than Bitcoin, maybe more

Our fee per transaction is 0.0001 Zero and at current price of zero this is 0.00025$ per transaction

I agreed. That's why a lot of miners stay at Forgetop Smiley event 2% fee; zero fee or low fee and low coin is Nothing...Miners will accept fee, but must be fair, don't steal our hashrate.

This is our present for ZERO community

ZEROPOOL.CLOUD, one the first pool that has supported zero since start, SET FEE AT 0% and minimum payout a 0.01 to give possibility to all new miners with low resources, to partecipate at ZERO revolution!

We are working on a new features on pool and soon we will add another new stratum pool around the world always with 0% FEE!

Cheers
ZEROPOOL.CLOUD - 1°th DEDICATED AND BEST CLUSTER MINING POOL FOR ZERO
http://miningpools.cloud/?pool=zero

thanks

Pools with fees:

suprnova 0% FEE
zeropool.cloud 0% FEE
mining4 0.25% FEE
cloudhash.eu 1% FEE
zero.forgetop.com 2% FEE

Yup, just keep in mind that 98% of 100 zer is a lot more then 100% of 70 zer.

I do not understand, what it means? Depends also for pool fee ?

You know, there is a lot more simple way to check out things. Put two rigs inside our pool and two rigs inside any other pool.
Give it 24 hours and check the results.
A lot of people did this already and I see them every day  since then in http://zero.forgetop.com .

I managed to get the OptiminerZero miner working correctly, Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky with the Linux wallet. The wallet is currently saying the following:

Blockchain synchronized: 0%
Up to 19-Feb-2017 7:00:00 PM

Network: 0 connections

I'm also getting these repeating messages:

Gathering of dashboard daemon status data done in 12ms.
Gathering of dashboard daemon status data done in 14ms.
Gathering of dashboard wallet balance data done in 7ms.
Gathering of dashboard daemon status data done in 12ms.
Gathering of dashboard daemon status data done in 24ms.
Gathering of dashboard daemon status data done in 16ms.
Gathering of network and blockchain info data done in 16ms.
Gathering of address/balance table data done in 15ms.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone helped me figure this out.

Thank you

FOMI:
Start taking ideas and discussing about what people would want to see in roadmap
Also do that in reddit
I will then cross-reference in what we have already and depending of what the community prefers and we decide it is good for Zero we will implement

Thanks

DM

Hello everyone!

Another exciting week and considering this is one where most are busy with family and festivities it highlights even more so the interest being generated in Zero.

So.. this is a community takeover so we must organize ourselves in the same fashion. DM has taken the reigns and done an incredible job but we all need to chip in and support where we can to keep the machine rolling on.

I kindly request that everyone private message me of what they would like to see in the road map. What they feel is important to keep Zero true to itself and how we can fulfill its potential.

Also.. we need all of us to keep an eye out for errors or mistakes in our material (website etc) in order to keep self refining.

I look forward to hearing from you all

I did send two payments the other day with no fee  and they cleared a bit slow but still success..

Hello everyone!

I believe that ZERO is a great project and would be happy to help in any way that I can.

I have noticed a few things that could be improved on the website, here are some changes in red that I suggest in order to polish the site a little more:

- On the About us page:

The Zero project originally developed by an unknown creator called zerocurrency in early February 2017 as an experimental project to solve many inherent weaknesses of existing crypto-currencies. A truly evolved project with multiple features that accomplishes to cover the needs of the many like no other. Since its inception and before it takes off and hits the markets Zero became an orphan and the unknown creator has been mysteriously disappeared. Nobody knows what happened to him but the created Zero project somehow refused to perish and appeared to have a conscious conscience of its own.

Moved by this formidable power of will to live on, a small but vibrant community that knows no boundaries in race or gender composed by citizens of the world has decided to help the Zero project grow, reach its true potential and become what was initially intended or more....

WE are the ZERO community and we are now many. We grow relentlessly each day continuously supporting this project because we believe in it and what it can offer to the people. And Zero project believes in us.

- On the features page:

Zero’s transaction fees are literally close to zeroand zero and by far cheaper than any other major cryptocurrency, for example it’s fees are 10x 100x ? times cheaper than bitcoin.

- Also, is the following claim realistic?: "Zero is by far the most intelligent crypto-currency and is constantly expanding and evolving"
To me that seems a bit too much, I would suggest "Zero is one of the most advanced crypto-currency and is constantly expanding and evolving"

Let me know what you think.

Hi, good work i noticed these grammar things also. English is not the easy language to learn secondary from what i hear, largely due to some silly "rules" that are counterintuitive with all other languages lol.. I agree with most changes except the one that remains above. When speaking of "conscience" now are we suggesting zero has.moral values and knows "right" and "wrong". My inferrance of the original text is that the word consciousness should be there not conscience..

And the statement regarding the intelligence of zero, again a comical ambiguouty thanks to english! : ) without a few more words we cant know for sure the intended goal of the statement. However not neccesarily preferrable to transcribe it to something else. Without speaking of zero as a person of intellect we might assume that the statement would like to convey that the coin itself (by design) is the most intelligent crypto. I wouldnt disagree with that statement although time and battle testing is what will prove it. Of course this could be misinterpreted as a claim to AI which of course zero is not AI.  Or it could be indicating that a person of intellect would choose zero heh just kidding... your suggested replacement statement is also good though, and more specific less ambiguouty... i prefer the intelligent word personally..

Thanks for the reply. I do believe its the swing wallet. I followed this guide to set it up: https://github.com/vaklinov/zero-swing-wallet-ui

During setup I didn't recall seeing any error messages.

update:

I ran the following command: ./src/zcashd --daemon

And confirmed that it is running.

When I run ./src/zcash-cli getinfo

I get this:  "errors": "" Does this mean its working correctly?

./src/zcash-cli getpeerinfo gives me the following:
[
]

Is it ok to continue to mine? Or should I stop until the wallet issue is resolved?

Hi awill333,

I agree with what you said, it should remain "conscious" and not "conscience", my mistake.

Regarding your last point, I think the word "intelligent" is also fine, my concern was more on the part where it says that it is "by far the most" intelligent. I certainty can't say whether that's true or not, but even if it is, it's probably a bit too early to make such a claim.

In my zero.conf file I have the following two nodes listed:

addnode=35.164.216.74
addnode=94.176.235.178
rpcport=23800

Are the nodes still valid?

When I run ./zcashd

I get the following message:

Thank you for running a ZERO node!
You're helping to strengthen the network and contributing to a social good Smiley

Block height | 0
Connections | 0
Network solution rate | 0 Sol/s

You are currently not mining.
To enable mining, add 'gen=1' to your zero.conf and restart.

Since starting this node 5 minutes, 46 seconds ago:
- You have validated no transactions.

I have no idea why I'm not connecting to the nodes. I'm almost certain I setup everything correctly.

Can someone please let me know if the node addresses are still valid.

Thank you

I believe the miner software is still unstable on anything more than 3 cards per rig on windows.
