Well,I just send btc to nicehash to mine dero by myself, the price is almost the same(some times even cheaper) than buying them on the exchange.
And I think participate the mining thing is good for dero's network.

Thank you @Serena you were very valuable to the community and proved more than that in very short time. Hope we will see you again in near future very soon.

CapDero,

Let's not lose Serena! She has been great, and I think letting her go would be a huge mistake. She does a great job, and her English is phenomenal. I think having someone that eloquent adds a lot to the project. Let's do what we can, even if it's part-time or something. Don't let this one slide.

I think you may be right but please, use NH responsibly. Spiking the network hashrate quickly not only isn't profitable (quick difficulty and emission adjustment), but it hurts other miners.

You need to add the transfer priority and number of mixins (minimum 5)

transfer normal 5 dERokPan5wMCjQCCUTZQakNLqgDPQCnMfUdTH5fLWoBAg3JnU79jNkFarUVGqwJc6R5NW2qLE5iuocm SHgQWgHop1hv7nBsVYT 10 6a274391315fa82d567fd98269125328242e25c34285c3dd14f95d9ac8d9bb58

You are using Golang beta wallet, Right now it does not not have transfer support. Check documentation for complete limitations. This are for community testings and evaluations of new DERO blockchain.
Pls use old daemon and wallet for daily usage: https://github.com/deroproject/dero

Hello all,

I'm new to cryptocurrency and after spending so much time reading through these forums, I think it's finally time to join in and since Dero has caught my attention the most, I am making my first post here to express my support of this project.

I'm fairly conservative when it comes to things like participating in crypto and alt currency projects, but I really believe in the premise and potential of the Dero and my confidence in the development team has led me to try mining for the very first time.  I don't have access to my better desktop at the moment which would be more suited, but because the Dero environment can scale down to suit the machine that I'm currently using, I can still participate.  I might only be chipping away, but every chip is both progress and an opportunity to learn more.  After all, since I'm on my computer already, then I might as well give Dero a try because what's there to lose?

That said, another member here made a comment about the value of our developer team's willingness to communicate and I can't stress my agreement on the matter enough.  It's important.  It really, really is and I say this because I have seen firsthand how communication can effect a company's health which then affects customer / consumer confidence.

I work in the administration department for my company which is in the business of sales (completely unrelated to alt currency) and because of it, I have access to company reports which include metrics for customer and consumer satisfaction.

Better communication between the company and its customers and consumers = better consumer confidence and company health... which equals to better real-time and future-projected metric scores... which equals to improved confidence in investors and potential customers and current consumers... which equals to improved company health... and the cycle continues.

In other words, there's an undeniable positive correlation between customer service and support and customer and consumer satisfaction and similarly, there's an undeniable positive correlation between customer and consumer satisfaction and company health.

Dero may not be a big thing yet, but if the communication (and other things) continues to be as consistent and positive as it has been since the start of the project, then there's the promise of long-term satisfaction and health for everyone who's involved. The fact that there's a positive community building up around the project is very encouraging.

So, as someone who's interested in the long-term and because I believe in not just the premise of Dero, but also the people involved, I'm in.

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to seeing the Dero project grow.

Quick question, can I still use the beta wallet for mining? Or does the transfer from the mining pool to the wallet also not work? Is the pending balance "lost", or can I just wait for the transfers to be implemented?

Thanks

You are welcome.
In DERO, someone from team/developer will be always available for the community just like from the beginning.
We might be busy in development but you will always be interacting directly with the team only.

Winter in 2018 I the Internet caught the video on the earnings in bitcoins. What are the pros I saw: 1) do not need to give their money 2) earnings directly proportional to your time 3) updated fixing earned currency every hour. Having worked in this system made a conclusion: this is the money that goes to work.

Pls save seed first. With seed you can restore your wallet(dero-wallet-cli.exe –restore-deterministic-wallet and enter your 25 words seed when asked) either on old or new beta wallet flawlessly.
Yes you can use it for mining and you will receive balance.
But save your seed first, New Golang wallets are in ram only atm.
You can use any wallet old or Golang beta but backup your 25 words seed first before any use.

Well,I just send btc to nicehash to mine dero by myself, the price is almost the same(some times even cheaper) than buying them on the exchange.
And I think participate the mining thing is good for dero's network.

I ended up just withdrawing the BTC from stocks.exchange instead of buying... I might go the nicehash route and mine instead as thats a viable option... I wont be buying on stocks.exchange until withdrawals are enabled though.. I want to buy and HODL for 6 months to a year or more... I do not trust this exchange to still exist after that long

I share your frustration, I have a number of DERO awaiting withdrawal at the moment. However the Devs are in contact with S.E. and I know several of the senior members (myself included) have been too. Withdrawals were available in general since DERO was listed, but they would fail above a small amount. Sometimes 50 DERO, or 30, or more recently even 25. This suggests that they're using the wrong RPC command to initiate transfers.

Speaking for myself, I made them aware of this and documented the correct command in full. I'm somewhat hopeful that the extended unavailability of withdrawals is due to them testing and eventually implementing it. Certainly the timing coincided with the Devs and me making them aware of the likely cause / solution.
