I hear older Intel Xeon servers (in 19" rack mount cases) do pretty well at Cryptonight mining; I might pick up a few to find out as GPUs are insanely expensive right now.

Cryptonote in general does well with 2MB of cache per 1 core for mining. So if your CPU has 4MB cache the best setup with be 2 Threads for mining. Xeon's do well because they have a lot of cache.

Yep, that's my understanding. I'm toying around with the idea of setting up a little server farm specifically for DERO and another Cryptonote coin, eDollar.

Your daemon may need an update but Im positive CaptDero will come along with an up to date data file for you to download when they see this which should solve the problem for you

To be part of DERO NETWORK and start mining DERO:
Download daemon & wallet from below links, choose your OS.

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli and follow options to create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed/key etc…

SOLO MINING:
Run “start_mining X” cmd in wallet X-> NO. of cores in your CPU

POOL MINING:
Visit http://pool.dero.live/#getting_started

DERO POOLS:

Edit: If you delete all C:\ProgramData\dero and resync walletd it worked.

Try to replace the database 1st, read previous msg. After that you can resync again.. (It's work for me)

I mine a DERO for a while, but diff. skyrockets. I notice that all network now is around 3.2MHs, and all official pools are less than 0.8MHs, togeather. The rest is solominers? Nicehashers? Sometimes passed over an hour since main pool find  a new block.

With the new blocks just sad. I'm already thinking about switching to something else. Three four hours on the block. A miserable reward. Also, the crazy coefficient on the official pool.

I got a rig with 4xgtx1070 + 1xgtx1080ti pointing to dero.tech

I´m getting like 4 Dero in last 24 hours=(1$??..) ... And my hash rate is totaly incorrect 131.65 H/sec acording to pool (3500h/s in fact ).. i double checked that  i´m pointing correctly to the pool

There´s lot of payments going but certainly not to my address...

I confirm they don´t reply to emails..

I honestly don´t think this is a good pool to recommend in the first page.. too many redflags (including unpaid tokens.. lower hashrate report than the real one, etc)... Moved to another pool and everything is ok and my rewards is just as i expect according to my hashrate.
