To be part of DERO NETWORK and start mining DERO:
Download daemon & wallet from below links, choose your OS.
https://github.com/deroproject/dero
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.3/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.3/dero-windows-amd64.zip

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli and follow options to create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed/key etc…

We decided to launch GUI wallet later. Meanwhile DERO supporter created a GUI wallet, pls check: https://github.com/drigler/DeroGUIWallet

POOL MINING:
Visit http://pool.dero.live/#getting_started

DERO POOLS:
http://pool.dero.live Official pool. Fix diff supported
http://dero.tech
https://dero.miner.rocks

Fix diff Example: " -o stratum+tcp://pool.dero.live:5555 -u Wallet_address.Diff+Worker1 -p x"
Not banning anyone but pls gentle with fix diff. Set fix diff approx 15-20 times your hash.
Eg:
For 500H/s and 10 seconds time set diff 5000
For 500H/s and 20 seconds time set diff 10000

Also following pools have been setup by community members if you want to directly mine to exchange. payment_ID supported.
Pls make sure first exchange are working.

is Official pool down ??

Pls flush your dns cache or restart/clear firefox/browser cache or use private-tab if pool page appears blank.
Changed  scripts to load from local server rather than third party CDN/cloudflare servers to decrease tracking and increase pool users privacy.

I feel squeezed out as I'm down to around 2 DERO per day with my Ryzen 5 1600 CPU... Switched over to Intensecoin but will keep tabs on the DERO network hashrate. Good luck to the devs and fellow miners; I'm still holding about 272 DERO in total.

I got an PM from one of the DERO devs asking me to mine DERO even that I don't have a rig (I travel alot) so I'm looking at the coin on his request. But I don't see what makes this project unique? What is the DERO USP (Unique Selling Proposition)?

Smart contracts on a private blockchain. Imagine Monero and Ethereum had a love child that was completely rewritten in Golang to make it faster and easier to understand the code.

Maybe it should be rebranded to Monereum or Ethero LOL. (Not a serious suggestion).

Gotta love this developer, so active in communicating, great english, seems like a nice guy, and is creating a great project here.

I do have one issue though, I really want to be able to use a GUI wallet, and I'm wondering whats the progress on that?

Thanks

Thanks for the support. Amazingly receive many pm, messages, mails of much love and respect. Thanks to all of them.
Lets see if we can develop and deliver something worth as par with community expectations.

Just curious.  How many coins are you getting with that CPU on Dero vs Intensecoin per day?

I'm doing about 440 H/s on average with this CPU without overclocking but with some tweaking of the xmr-stak cpu.txt file. More specifically, here is the relevant portion from that file in its entirety:

Code:
"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 1 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 3 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 4 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 5 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 7 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 9 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 10 },
    { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 11 },

],

If you want to maintain usability of the computer for other things then it's very important to not use core 0 / thread 0. Ideally, you want to specify a total number of threads that is 1/2 the L3 cache size in MB; the Ryzen 5 1600 has 16MB of L3 cache so 8 threads are ideal.

Right now (and similar to when I made the post you quoted), that 440 H/s can be used to generate less than 2 DERO per day or around 72 ITNS per day. So while I still believe in DERO, I just don't see mining it as a particularly good use of resources at the moment.

Hi, I've been mining on official pool for about couple of hours with a steady hash rate of about 3.6 kh/s. My question is why my pending balance is still 0 ?. Can someone enlighten me about this? TIA.

It will take 2.5 - 3 hours for your pending balance to show up but payments will be every 30 minutes after that

Hi, thank you for explaining. In the meantime, I'd like to congratulate DERO devs and community for the effort so far. Bravo.
