Are you kidding me? and what? 1% on your daily expenses? I am not saying that investing in digital currency is that bad but do we really need to put a lot of money into it with it even if it is risky? We can just put 10% to Bitcoin and 20% into altcoins including ICOs and the rest can be still invested on other assets and also you must not forget saving on your future expenses and future family. Your expense in your future child and family is considered an investment.

I would say the best place to invest your money right now would be proof of staking tokens. Most have good returns per annum but be careful because even though they have good returns the token can still drop in value. Find the best performing PoS token with a dedicated community and good volume. These are the metrics I look for when choosing a any token to invest in. Research is very important with any investment. My strategy is to continuously buy every month and never fail to do so. Also, I don't care what current price is, I just buy.. It's not a very smart nor is it the best strategy out there but it works long term especially with good asset selection.

If I were you I invest that money in different kinds of coin or tokens. But the majority of that will go to bitcoin as it is the most well-known cryptocurrency rich people know. Some alts has more potential but they need more community, unlike bitcoin that has been there ever since this technology started.

I think you should divide it by 3 and put the 1/3 to bitcoin, 1/3 to altcoins and the rest will be put into a bank for a more secure money investment but before that, you should do a research about the investments in bitcoin and its risks. There are so many altcoins so you must choose a perfect one. I suggest ethereum but it still depends on you. Just make sure that if you give an investment you must know that what you are investing can be your gain or your loss.

5000 dollars is not a very large amount for investment. The maximum benefit from them can be obtained if you invest in prospective ICO. You only need to carefully select projects and not invest in one project. It is worth choosing at least 10 quality projects and distributing cash on them.
