Litecoin to be over $5000 in 2018?

I'm not sure if litecoin in 2018 can beat the token etherium, indeed litecoin for now is very potential but it takes a long time and extra struggle to be able to compete with etherium.

So I have taken notice of this "coinbase effect" and I really believe that it is true. I think that people are downloading coinbase, seeing how high BTC is, and deciding to invest into LTC and ETH instead. I am NOT saying that these coins will pass BTC in any way, but I do think that LTC and ETH will be in the 4-10 thousands next year for sure. I am expecting the price of litecoin to reach around $1000 in 2018. $5000 is little too much to expect. I do believe that the "coinbase effect" does not have much of an affect on litecoin or ETH. People are still investing on bitcoin in fractions.

I bought it  when it was around  $60  and now it's increasing by leaps and bounce I think it will be beneficial to hold Litecoin for a longer run as I feels that it will bypass ethreum in 2018 as Litecoin has advantage of quick transfer facility at high speed and also Litecoin is predicted to cross $5000 mark by the end of 2018 or during the first half of 2019 as 2018 is already predicted to be the year of altcoins so let's make.use it it to the fullest either you can buy now but if you want to take risk then you can wait for a dump which might happen or might not to buy Litecoin.

I'd say if it corrects anywhere under 170 would be a good buy in for me. I'm hoping for around 100-130 but I think that is asking for too much, especially with this pump.

I respect your opinion but with the way the crypto scene is growing, so many new people entering, I think that we will see a few coins enter the 1-10k ranges during 2018. Hopefully LTC will be one of them :p

Litecoin is a temporary solution to btc's full mempool, we have yet to see how it'll fare once the txs are cleared.

Being an altcoin that has got some form of similarities surely have the potential to grow much big. For that reason we cannot expect such a growth to be attained in lesser time period. If the growth sustain, it might gain stability for an forward move  taking the price reach $1000 to be the price for the year 2018.

$1000-$2000 is probably a more accurate prediction, however I hope that it surpasses expectations

It is too early to be judgemental.Our predictions and forecasting needs to be realistic.Litecoin reaching 5000usd in 2018 looks quite oblivious.But with the current trend it has high rate of hitting a 1000 -1500 by mid 2018.

Litecoin to $5000 dollars seems like a steep price increase for Litecoin.  Litecoin has 4 times the amount of coins as bitcoin, so therefore it would have a marketcap of around $270 Billion dollars (54 million coins present).  I I do think though that Litecoin is a direct competition to overtake for bitcoin.

Aside from ethereum, litecoin has potential to be the next on ethereum or bitcoin. I'm a fan of litecoin and i am looking forward litecoin will rise up to $1000 sooner or later next year but not rise up to $5000. May be in time it will and i will be happy of that.

I feel that litecoin might be fixing yesterday's problems come late 2018. If the other projects work to solve those same problems, it might limit Litecoin's utility, so $5k would be optimistic. That being said maybe LTC will have some more improvements that make it is utility and valuation really jump. Its of course up to the community.

Litecoin's selling points is that it is cheaper and faster than Bitcoin, but there a plenty of coins out there which does this too which are much better. I think it's only because litecoin is well known and has existed for a long time that it is on many trading platforms that it is getting so much attention, correct me if these assumptions are wrong.

I think longer term you should be much more bullish on Ethereum and other platforms which allow for more practical things to be built on top of them. So therefore I believe this 10x growth scenario is more likely to occur in Ethereum.

This is too contradictory. Litecoin is a good asset, but $ 5000 is almost x100 from a recent price, I think this will not happen. But $ 500 is likely this year.

The potential of litecoin is very high but still I doubt that it can reach $5k in 2018 it really takes time for sure. But who knows, it is still a good altcoin after all so better to hold some of it to make profit. But for me $1k - $2k will be possible in 2018, altcoins will pump in 2018 for sure.

That's highly optimistic remember Crypto is crazy I would love to see those coins will increase rapidly especially Ltc. This is much awaited Lightning transaction hope it will surpass bitcoin in the long run..
